Hey, why'd you put scrabs and paramites as options? They don't have hands.

I would say sligs, but if you include the arm, I'd say Glukkons.

This was said before. Scrabs have at least bulky shoulders, and I think Paramites have hands.

Hey, Xav. If you close the thread because of spam can people still vote?

Xavier 01-02-2003 11:49 AM

I don't think so...
but it isn't to much spam right now

I would say that scrabs definitely DONT have hands, but a paramites mouth appendages look and act like a hand.
they've even got claws on the end of the 'bits'.
I'm sure i remember seeing them carrying stuuf eith their mouth bits too.
I would definitely class this as a hand

Xavier 01-04-2003 07:17 AM

lets say... paramite have a hand on his face but scrabs don't have hands at all...

but in fact all this topic is stupid

Adder 01-04-2003 11:19 AM

Deffinitions

If anything walked on is a foot, not a hand then:

Gorrilase while charging have 4 feet.
Glukkons have legs higher than their arms.

So, how do you define a hand, Facsimile

Alcar 01-04-2003 08:05 PM

I think the classification of hands is whether they are used like hands in earth-beings.

Paramites, Scrabs etc then would not have hands.

However, Glukkons do have hands. And if they wanted to they could use them like hands. But because of their pety self conscious-ness they hide them.

Alcar...

stupid topic

How in the world are we suposed to choose wich hand we like the best if some of the creatures dont even have hands??!!

I concur.

Look at a charging paramite. They act like gorilla's and other large apes who use their hands as platforms. While they do rest on their...front limbs, I still use "hand" as "thing on end of limb in similar position to where humans have arms"

Anyone else got a complaint about how the critters hands look by this definition??

Facsimile 01-26-2003 06:02 AM

I classify hands as things that can pick up and hold objects. And Paramites are always on their front limbs, they never lift them except to walk and climb. They aren't hands.

That includes an Elephant's trunk. It's all in definition!

Xavier 02-08-2003 11:56 AM

this is ridicoulus... you guys are arguing about what is a hand, and what is not a hand?

Damn, didn't see that one coming. :fuzvamp:
Okay then, things that pick up and hold things that are positioned on the end of an arm.
Now I wait to be proved wrong again.

Not arguing... debating.
:D

Xavier 02-09-2003 05:41 PM

okay, even if it's only debating it is still ridicoulus :fuzwink:

It's fun!

Now, somethinhg that can hold on the end of an arm.
What's an arm? (One area to find fault in)
Other than that, I think you got the right definition. Paramites can hold onto webs though, and they use limbs with 2 joints. So they might have 4 arms or legs or something.

Look, Paramites got 2 votes. Someone must like the shape of their hands!
