From me or McD's? Knowing grunty, probably me. Propaganda gomes from big corporations, not one-man people.

quetzalcoatl 07-17-2002 09:26 AM

disgruntled inter, how can you think of WW2 when you see this thread? explain

Armed Slig 07-17-2002 05:44 PM

That's why whenever I go to McDonalds, I always get the chicken samwich, because my Dad says all their meat come from a Cow's ass, which is gross. Chicken is pure...pure white process crusty meat. :D

Disgruntled Intern 07-17-2002 06:24 PM

Propaganda doesn't always have to come from large corps. , you know. Hitler was one person. I mean, sure, he had a vast army....But it was essentiall he, who was behind the anti jew/american propaganda. I wasn't trying to imply what you are saying or doing is anything wrong, or 'hitler-esque'-- It just reminds me of the world warII propaganda, that's all.

Edo 07-17-2002 06:47 PM

Oh ok. That's cool.

Majic 07-17-2002 08:59 PM

Armed slig, chicken isn't pure and white. Well its white, but you really don't know how they get that either. I will gladly link to the pictures of ow chickens are alughtered, unless you would enjoy eating your chicken in piece;)

Id be glad to join the anti McDonald thing. But just like Max I think Im too young. Just tell me what needs to be done and I'll do what I can.:fuzwink:

oddling 07-18-2002 02:08 AM

I don't think you're too young! Heck I'm only 10 and Edo made me some kind of leader thingymabobby allready! I've been working on little posters to put around the neihborhood, the only thing is I don't know how long they'll last against a rainstorm. I know this one web-site where you can go and rave on about things called petitiononline.com you can wright a thing about Mcdonalds there! I'd wright it myself but i'm a bit shy. A 10 year old doing something big like that is a little scarey for me. Don't laugh! So go ahead, I have total confidence in you.(Mutters "she's/He's hopless" to self) You can do it Oddsville, come on! Bring down that burger shack!(Goes into fetal position in corner, sucks thumb, and whimpers "Mommy!")

PS: I was gonna PM this to you but your box was full, clean out allready! Eh your not the only one, my box is a mess!

Good work guys. I think we're really going in the right direction on this one. Oddling and I can fill you in on things to do, and above all, have a good time. Enjoy the summer.

I think the idea to promote better health is good. But why is it only McDonald's? If you are truly for better health, that should not be selective of brands or companies.

Taco Bell has organized a "Liquid Beef" that only a few of their branches use, which is mixed with Odd-knows-what, to make it pourable like soup into the shell, thus minimizing assembly time, thus lowering costs, thus incresing profit.

All fastfood chains have their bad employees. I see no difference from chain to chain. Ronald may look bad to you, but just think of The Dell Taco geek, the "Colonel" from KFC, and the hideous Chihuahua from Taco Bell, which isn't even a boy, by the way. Her name is Ginger and they portray her as a boy because statistics show that men make more money than women, which means they might buy more fast food.

Media surveys show that children develope Brand Loyalty (Where they listen to whatever a company says just because they feel they have to be layal to the brand) as early as age 2. This goes for all commercial products. Brainwashing is not McDonald's idea, it is just their practice, and they are not alone.

Personally, I hate McDonald's, but I'd rather have it than Sub Way! I mean no offence to anyone who likes SubWay, but all the branches in my area use expired mustard that tastes like mold and they use turkey that is soaked in fat-extract, leaving it slimey. The buns are dry and old and preservative-rich.

Again, I am curious as to why this uprising is specific to McDonald's. Other than that, count me in. I am very busy in school right now, but I'd be happy to pitch in. :)

I got nothing against McDonald’s, it's cheap, it’s quick and the food taste good, though I do limit it because of health issues.
