Come on Ethan read the stinking thread. Dont embaress me on my own thread.:fuzconf:
sorry about that guys i dont know to much about here yet. I wont do it again.
Come on now give the guy alittle break. He just got here, Im sure he'll learn.
To persue the subject. I have noticed that the blimp that Lulu used to arrive at VL has 2 engine power propelers located at the back of the ship. As well as those 8 row boat looking things. I am not sure what they call it however. I believe that the real perpoltion is more from the propelers then the row boat so to speak attachments. So heres the question what are those row boat things for. For looks For extra perpoltion for turning?:fuzconf:
Maybe they are used for turning the blimp...
yes maybe. I have also noticed the vertical wings in the back of the blimp were the propellers or located wich means the blimp is also turned from there much like ruder. (actually it is a ruder.):fuzconf:
Or maybe it can go in water AND land...
Thats a excellent idea that makes alot of sense and may answer the reason why they have thos row boat like wings. One other thing i noticed at looking at Xaviers picture is that the blimp resembles the Shell head creature that Xavier was showing.:fuzconf: :fuzwink:
Thanks! :)
No problem its always good to here from a fans brilliant idea's just call me the honest Mud. but dont you think the blimp resembles the head of that Shell head creature that Xavier put up. The one that nobody knows what it is. could there be a link.
( I dought it though):fuzconf:   |
I got a good picture of the back of the blimp
http://www.oddworld-fr.com/banque_images/1089.jpg yes those big palms near the motors are for the dirrection. and I dunno if there is a link with my shell creature. |
Very nice pic Xavier. As you can see the vertical ruders located next to the engines are clearly for stearing. However many more suggestions remain about why thoughs other wings are there is it to provide further purpoltion or for helping the blimp turn or is it possible that theys vehicales are capible of going in the water like Mac suggested.:fuzconf:
I think the plams on the side are for propulstion and the one on the back for direction
plus the palm on the sides still works when the blimp is parked at Vykkers Labs. maybe it's for the stability too |
Maybe so. Good analogy and observation.
And the flaps above the Oars on the side look like they can be used for breaks if the where lowered abit?
what do you mean with "lowered abit" ?
sorry I don't understand :( |
You see the three flaps right above (and inbetween) the four ores on the side? If you lowered them further down to a lower angle then they would catch the wind from the forward motion of the ship and it would eventually slow down.
now I get it... ingenious
realy I believe in that. good observation! |
Thanks alot Xavier, btw nice pic!:fuzwink:
you know, they are all on my site
here is an intresting one of the bottom http://www.oddworld-fr.com/banque_images/1088.jpg you can see some guns, atatch's for Vykker pods, and a Slig |
:
it looks like those blimps can realy work... I see no problem with it.
well, maybe it's to heavy, cause there is a lot of machinery in it (look at the good ending of MO) |
Your right there is alot of machinery in there and the wings are still moving probably to keep stibility like you said.:fuzblink:
I never noticed the Vykker pods on the bottom, thats pretty cool. Im glad both of you like my theory, you do know that all of yours are great to!:fuzwink:
That is very kind Oddsville. I must say your theory is rather interesting and like i said before it must be right.
Does anyone know of other types of flying machines besides the Vykker blimps. Or is that about it so far.:) |
That is one cool pic. Very nice Xavier:fuzsmile:
yeah, I wonder how it works for the stability, direction and propultion...
maybe those stics are for something |
I think that those "sticks" are just the antennae used to pick up the signals given by the traps laid by the Vykkers.
I have no idea how the thing actually works though because it dosn't look like it has any devices for stearing or propultion. |
I think those stick are for propulsion, stability and direction.
they can puch it a bit in each direction, but I don't see yet how |
