It'd be cool if the next Oddworld is about a Shrink that has run off. Hehe, sounds stupid... but come on, it would be interesting.

Yes, but sorry to say Shrinks can't run off, they're attached.
Although I would very much like to see a shrink play a major role in a game, not where he could be possessed as said above, but where he could sort of be good and bad at the same time, helping both sides.

I wonder how it will be playable since they are attached... you guys have some ideas but please, keep in mind that it must be playable

Forum newbie here! (just for the record Hello and all that)

In AO didnt Rupture farms get totalled by Abe? (final scenes)

If so, story line could be.......

The few remaining Sligs manage to put together some kind of power supply, enabling the shrink to stay active.
The shrink has now been raised to demi-god status, and the sligs are operating a rival cartel, led by said shrink.
The shrink helps Abe to destroy the gluks, (or any opposing forces), thus making everyone think that its on the side of good.
The shrink, of course has a deeper plan, using Abe to rid itself of any competition and thus assume world domination(mwahahetc)
this could be revealed late in the game, saving a couple of sections(levels) for Abe to put an end to the evil shrink.

This is all based on the premise that Rupture farms got totalled....if it didnt, then the above is a load of tripe, but it sounds good!

well no it only zapped molluck and his personal slig, the factory was closed because there were no mudokons left to keep it working and no glukkons left to give orders...

Rupture Farms was simply shut down by Abe. It still exists but it has no one to run it. And no Glukkon is rich enough (or stupid enough) to take control over it on fear of the Chroniclers (basically the tax collectors of Oddworld).

However with the Shrink destroying Abe, just like the Glukkons a creature such as a Shrink depends on lower class followers to do their dirty work, as such creatures like Glukkons or Shrinks as they have no capable arms of such. So, they have no way of doing what they want. They need the lower classes.

Okay, guardian Angel??? I don't get it, everytime I play it I get the GT logo instead, as sligs always say "What's up with that?"

Hey, this thread was on the 2nd or 3rd page on Oddworld Discussion and it's realy popular now. Maybe getting old threads back to life isn't a bad idea, is it? I will continue this in the future.

You need to get the cheat for viewing all movies, in there at the bottom you'll find the guardian angel movie.

Hi dudes! I'm a newbie and I look forward to posting on these forums and meeting all the great people her! (Now that the intro's over with)

I always thought a shrink could download itself onto a pair of treads and roll along the ground and (eventually) escape. Think about it: it's deranged, depressed, psychotic and it would still hae all those tools, who would be able to stop it? You can't turn it off because it's an idependant unit with it's own powersource.:fuzvamp:
