I personally am content to wait and see. I think what is most likely is Reincarnation, but that's just what I think will happen. The only evidence for Reincarnation is very weak (people who recall past lives and things), but since there can never be any evidence at all in favour of Heaven or just Blackness, I choose Reincarnation... [I'm not trying to start an argument here, by the way. I'm not just saying that there IS no evidence, but it stands to reason that there can never be, since if you believe in Heaven, then you believe that there's no coming back. Reincarnation is the only belief that could possibly have any evidence for it, so I choose it.] Apart from anything else, it's what I would want to be true, which is what Religion is based on, anyway... EDIT: :
[Sorry if I sound arrogant or patronising here, but I am simply being cautious in light of past altercations...] |

i don't really have much to say, except kudos for those of us, well all of us, who kept cool heads throughout this entire discussion.
this was a very 'productive' discusssion, what with no fights getting in the way. i do like the idea of reincarnation, as it seems the most likely to me... i also like the idea my mom once gave me..and I quote, "But what if our universe as we know it, is just like some fish tank in a persons living room?" it's not the best, but it certainly appeals to me. anyway, i'm rambling again... |

Also Dan, you lied because I don't think that everyone is going to Hell. You don't know what I think so don't tell me what I'm thinking, iight? |

My belief is whatever you have faith in is what you shall get. people who believe in god will get god people who believe in satan will get satan people who believe in nothing will get nothing people who believe in reincarnation will get reincarnation people who belive in white fluffy puff daddies will get white fluffy puff daddies It is all based on faith |

One question, though: :
[Note for provocateurs: This is an honest question...] |
I beleive what oddbodd mean't was that if you truely believed you would go to heaven you would go to heaven, if you truely believe you would go to hell you would go to hell. unfortunatly I get the bad end of that, I go to nothingness.
|
I believe in Santa Clause, so I will get Santa Clause.
Steve, nothingness isn't necesarily a bad thing. You wont have any reservations about nothingness when you not even your thoughts exist. I'd go as far as to say there's a sense of beauty in eternal nothingness. *wipes tear from eye* |
But who really believes they are going to Hell? Not Hitler. Not Bin Laden. Not Nixon. Not Hussein. Nobody. (Or as near to nobody as makes no odds...)
Heaven must be crowded... EDIT: *has a sudden thought* Where do Agnostics go? |
Agnostics are doomed to spend eternity wandering around the universe, never knowing. Either that or they have to make do with the left-over beliefs. :D
