Well here is the dilly...it seems karma is keeping some cruel form of balance in my life this holiday break
After giving up on the X-Box my best friend heard about my dilemma and called around to places I neglected and found a bunch. So down we went I am thrilled to say I am the proud owner of a WORKING X-Box. My family thinks Munch's story was so sad and my friends love the comedy in the game. I've only been able to play the first level of Munch because of relatives (who are leaving tommorow morning WOOHOO!). However this is not the bad part... After entertaining my cousins and friends at an arcade we were eating at Jack in the Box when my mom called me and told me this: My Girlfriend fell off a ladder, cracked a rib and bruised her sternum. She's has to be sedated for something like 4 days and has to go back to the hospital to get new bandages. I have only talked to her mom and hopefully I will be able to bring her some flowers and see her tommorow after her hospital appointment (if she's concious). WHY ODD!? WHY ODD?? Damn, Eibu. I thought you had it bad before. First a defective XBox, then a defective girlfriend. Life really sucks for you, dude. I feel sympathy for you, and I hope it all comes together soon.

I guess I'm not that much of an 'outgoing' kind of guy, but hey; most romances in highschool never work out, so I'm guessing I'm not missing much.  |

Well I still haven't been able to see my girlfriend. She just got off the heavy painkillers and wants to bathe properly and look good. Just like her...
I guess she'll be ready for visitors tommorow  . Meanwhile in Munch: The game is great, but I'm a little bias. I do have some gripes and they have nothing to do with spooce. My first problem is this supposed "frustration free-gaming"...haven't found it yet. The camera f**ks me up all the time! My second gripe is with health and killing. I possess a slig and fire at some others and it takes all day to kill the bastards and before they die I've already been taken out. Thank Odd for quicksave. It also pisses me off when I'm being fired at and my Mudarchers sit their and scratch themselves. Other than that it is good. Besides I play Oddworld games for the story sequences anyhoo! I usually pace my sessions by getting to the next FMV, heh. Inhabitants could so easily make a fantastic movie, or even a short! |
FFX sounds fun, but I perfer real-time combat RPGs. My friend said that Blitzball was the best part of the whole game. What do you think?

I hate a BUNCH of stuff. Hell, one time my friends told me that I should be a critic. "Why?" I asked. They told me because I hate everything. :D Hey, I said it before and I'll say it again, we both like Oddworld, so at least that's ONE thing :p

Anyhoo FINALLY got to see my girl yesterday from 9:00~11:00pm (she had a date with "Prince Valium"). She's doing better and hopes the doctor will let her go out and do stuff tommorow, though she can't lift heavy objects or move her arms very high. Well this must seem like LUNACY but even though I've got my X-Box, the almighty Oddworld Munch's Oddysee and a few other cool games (we love Cell Damage) guess what i've spent the last 10 of my gaming hours doing? Final Fantasy X on my PS2! I just can't put it down. I've racked up 28 hours so far and i'm not even half way through the game! Of course a good portion of that was leveling. Ah Console RPGs! My friends level up just to make their characters stronger but I level in fear of whats ahead and to make sure I can kill anything in one or two moves, heh. I get such a warm feeling every time I fill in a sphere... So I've left Abe and Munch hanging in the entrance of Splinterz. I'm sure they'll wait for me. |
FFX sounds awesome Eibu... I can't wait to play it myself (but have Munch at the moment, so I am happy). It's understandable that you'd go back to it though... because you must be a bigger FF fan if you have a Chocobo numberplate!!!

I dont have a PS2 so I cant play any FFX untill I get one (hopefully soon) If I did have a PS2 and FFX I wouldnt be kiling Scrubs right now thas for sure.The first time I beat Munch I got Angleic Quarma without using any sort of guide. that just shows my 3l33t 5k!llz.

my friend does that just to piss people off Anyhoo, I've been toiling away at FFX like mad. Except last night when me and some friends made a film, I won't go into the plot but me and another friend were dressed up in suits running around the city at midnight while I weilded a katana and my friend had two big sticks named El Negro and Stupid Honkey... Hell when I woke up this morning the first thing I did was turn on FFX, leveled for a few hours and made some progress and finally surfaced at 3:30pm for some food! It was worth it though because I got to a very beautiful scene.
