Think you've gone the right way, Xav, but I'm not sure what converting it to numbers has to do with piece 7. It does seem to be what Ed wanted us to do, though. |
But it still have no connection to Braille.
We have to turn it to Braille and somehow connect it with "5", cause fifth tweet is the source of piece 7. Perhaps change to Braille and THEN yet again Caesar 5? |
Well I'm thinking
So how do we put those together? 94 73 12 83 83 72 33 73 51 C4GD-RDHG-SSBR-SCRD-3STY-DDTH-WALF-XGMA-DF2F |
I agree, Xav. But I wonder what converting it to a number had to do with piece 7, specifically the word source?
|
EDIT: The only thing I can think of now of how to combine them, yet again ignoring "piece 7 source", is only by replacing numbers with corresponding code pieces, like 94 = DF2F (piece 9) & SCRD (piece 4) 73 = WALF (piece 7) & SSBR (piece 3) etc. :
DF2FSCRD WALFSSBR C4GDRDHG XGMASSBR XGMASSBR WALFRDHG SSBRSSBR 3STYC4GD EDIT2: Another thought - "piece 7 source" was fifth tweet, "Is anybody listening?" Converting to Braille (only up to i=9, higher are --) this phrase gives :
9-1--2-4--9--5-9-7 Regarding "piece 7 source" - squares_codes_07.jpg source code? Like, something to look in HEX-editor? |
Each step has required us to do whatever we did in the original step, to the string of numbers. So what did we have to do in step 7? It must follow the same idea. All we really did was remove the glitchy graphics from around the phrase "is anybody listening?" from ed's tweet and squash it into one word to be the password. I suppose that step also involved fixing those lines together to form .zip. But I don't see how we could enact any of that onto our current string of numbers. Ed has gone completely silent.
|
If those | .| tweets are using morse code, they say EEI EEI.
id gc caesar ciphered with '26-19' is "pk nj" idk...I've been out of this ARG for ages so I suppose I'm not gonna be able to help much at the last hurdle. |
The "| .|" tweets are actually displaying the braille symbol for hash.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...NumberSign.svg I believe they've put the lines on the side to make sure it's formatted correctly for twitter. I actually saw the Ed account put on a tweet just before it that read ". . .." on one line, but it was hastily deleted and replaced with the lines one as I think it was realised it had lost the formatting after posting :p |

To be honest, I'm quite confused as to what the braille hash symbol has to do with "piece 7 source". I can't make the connection in my head, but it does seem to really point at converting our braille to numbers, so I think that's right. I don't really get why, or how we move on with it though.
Assuming we're done with the piece 7 source part of the map, the next part is pieces, so how do we apply the numbers to the pieces? I do sort of feel like Ed would have given us some confirmation that we'd completed the piece 7 source part of the map though, given his constant communication this morning. Maybe not.
We were in the right place. We just have to look harder. We need to use the pieces to decode the numbers. So close! Perhaps it's to do with the order in which the pieces were completed? Throwing ideas out there |
holy shit I fall asleep at 2AM, and you guys have done half of this shit by 7.
One path one thread, follow the map. Guys, I'm pretty sure this is the map hes referring to http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...5&d=1460544619 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CgAdNXrUUAE99fF.jpg |
Whoa, don't check the forums for a day and the ARG blows up with activity! You're all awesome at this, kudos but I'm just as lost with this as any.
i did enter HELLO? In the answer box and received "Nearly.. It's nearly time stay quiet just a little longer..." Is this at least a new reply? |

One path one thread, follow the map.
Guys, I'm pretty sure this is the map hes referring to They gave us the "map" in a tweet: https://twitter.com/edmudokon/status/747717729885503488 |
I think the set of instructions in the tweet is simply the map he's referring to:
We've been following it so far, and he does refer to that tweet as being "our map" so I'm not sure the Witness puzzle will be useful here. Ya never know though, any ideas on how it's implemented? For now Ed has basically spelled out our instructions for us. We need to use the pieces to decode the numbers somehow. |
well, converting the letters to numbers and subtracting them doesn't work, he said don't go down, so I added the numbers and got-
bw-zv-tu-av-av-zu-vv-zv-xt 25-48-41-23-23-46-44-48-44 RDHG3STY SCRDXGMA SCRDC4GD RDHGSSBR RDHGSSBR SCRDWALF SCRDSCRD SCRDXGMA SCRDSCRD Or maybe he means, add all of those together, which would give-- 25+48+41+23+23+46+44+48+44= 342 SSBRSCRDRDHG |
Don't go down was when we were trying to Caesar cipher in the wrong direction.

We started out with: bw-zv-tu-av-av-zu-vv-zv-xt Our first step on the map was "listen for me". When that was relevant to tha ARG, we solved it by caesar shifting. So, we shifted the letters down down 7 steps as per ed's instructions in this tweet:
Which gave us: id-gc-ab-hc-hc-gb-cc-gc-ea This was confirmed as the correct way to go by Ed here:
The next step on the map was "Monday". When Ed originally told us about Monday it was written in braille, so we converted it to braille, which gave us: http://i.imgur.com/tb0cxuZ.png The next step on the map was "piece 7 source". I'm a bit confused about this one, but Ed put this tweet on shortly after we arrived at this piece:
The dots inside the lines are braille for the "#" symbol, which indicates that numbers should follow. We then decided the best course of action was to convert the braille symbols to their number counterparts, as each letter has a number that uses the same symbol as it. That gave us: 94 73 12 83 83 72 33 73 51 The next step on the map was "pieces". This is where we have got to. Ed has given us this hint to this step of the map:
Once we figure out how the numbers correlate to the pieces, we can decode them, and hopefully enter the result in the chat box which will finish this section of the ARG. Any other tweets have been Ed kindly guiding us on our way, and stopping us going astray. |
I'm basically going to copy paste this when doing the next wiki section. Couldn't have summarised it better. :)
|
so, I'm going to use the Piece code thing again, even though it might be useless.
94 73 12 83 83 72 33 73 51 DF2F SCRD WALF SSBR C4GD RDHG XGMA SSBR XGMA SSBR WALF RDHG SSBR SSBR WALF SSBR 3STY C4GD |
I solved it again :D
the numbers: 94 73 12 83 83 72 33 73 51 first number is piece second number is letter so 94 is ninth piece and fourth letter= F when you do that to all you get FL4MMABL3. you put that in that thingy on oddworld page and you get new response :) |

Nice! How?
Confirmed: Vikit15 is working for Ed ;) 1029.io is a url. Check it out guys crazy shit. Well done Vikit15. Would have taken me days. There's a string of numbers hidden in the source code of 1029.io: So @Spiritof1029 is an official account. Looks like we just found it early ;) |
THERE'S A STORM COMING. 1029.IO
|
Genius!

Well shoot!! I was in the middle of trying things! Lol cool man, "flammable"... Heh |
|
So,now what? Is the ARG done? Is this just phase one?
|
Sorry to keep thread jumping, I've moved back over to the general ARG thread. Probably more appropriate as it seems the "map" element is finished.
