My original post was tongue in cheek completely. Didn't think I'd end up explaining my motives. Silly me! |
Look, you aren't a fool if you will sell the game in a couple of years.
CP, no offense, I was saying: you never dislike anything related to OWI. |
Well, why did you just PM me calling me a fool then, Vlam? This is so ridiculous.

Right, let's just leave it, huh Vlam? I don't come on here to argue. We can just disagree on this one. We're both mature enough to do that :)
|
That's because Oddworld is my favorite game franchise ever. A franchise which was considered dead a few years ago. And I thought it would never come back.
I know it does come across as me blinding loving everything they do, But all I'm doing is just trying my very hardest to support the company. But I guess all that just comes back and bites you on the arse doesn't it... Anyway. That's actually not entirely true. I disliked Munch's Oddysee. :tard: |
Okay, Crashpunk and Connell. *shake hands*

Doesn't OWI know all this plastic will eventually end up in the sea?? Lorne even shared a downcycling video on Facebook!
|
There goes Lanning's love for the nature. All NnT physical copies will eventually pollute the Earth!
|
We're all polluting the earth by existing. Lorne is a hypocrite just by living.
I feel like we can't get more nihilistic than that, do I win? |
Seriously, if it's a real limited edition then buying it might be a good investment (it will take value in a couple of years).

Some argue that digital distribution has destroyed the potential for games of this generation every growing in rarity / desire akin to the PS1 / Nintendo golden age, but that's a whole other debate. If there was ever a PS4 release I'd say would be worth something in years to come, It'd be this. But this baby's a keeper for me. And I think anyone who buys video games SOLELY with the hope that they become valuable over time is quite silly. You'd be much better off investing your money in stocks or something real, than on a whim a video game might be desirable. |
Yes, but those people exist, you know.

EDIT: So this is going down on the UK Ebay... There are still copies on the Limited Run Website for god's sake. Fake bids to create artificial demand? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMITED-RU...MAAOSwKfVXHmRF Same guy is flipping the Vita one here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMITED-RU...YAAOSwKfVXHmSg Is that really an efficient way to make a small profit? (The answer is no) EDIT 2: Several on the US eBay, too many to link to in fact. Very sad times, these people see the opportunity I guess. I personally don't think it's worth it. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...world&_sacat=0 |
Bagged myself a copy, Just because I have an extensive Oddworld collection, and this will add nicely to the shrine
|
People buying up limited editions just to sell at a profit is nothing new. In fact it's one of the main appeals for a lot of people.
I personally just like to know something I own is worth a lot, yet never actually selling it. :) |
That I do too. I will never sell any of my oddworld collection, not even my sealed Exoddus CD
|
Somewhere far far away, Cullen Heath is crying.
|
Kind of disgusting seeing all those copies on eBay.
Happy to have snatched one for each platform during the first sale batch. :) |
|
Well I definitely did not sell that.
Or did I? I'm confused! |
:
He promised to get it sent to us on the condition that he got a Facebook message from Lorne. Eh, sure. Lorne's a busy guy, but eventually I convinced him to spare a minute and send a message Cullen's way. And then we never heard from Cullen again. The end. |
I just had to search for him because I had absolutely no idea who Cullen Heath was.
I can't believe I never heard about that. |
Did Lorne mention he was a friend of Mathew Bell in the message? That might explain it.

I'm getting my game! So excited *.* Never sell it though way too nostalgic I remember first playing the original when I was 8. Don't mind me -u-
