Fischkopf 02-24-2016 12:36 PM

The shaking makes the video unwatchable for me.

STM 02-24-2016 09:14 PM

If Fischkopf's out, I'm out.

Job McYossie 02-25-2016 09:21 AM

Again, it stops after the first episode.

MA 02-25-2016 09:39 AM

yeah the shaking stops after the first episode, then in the next two episodes the brightness is way too high, but after that they seem to sort their shit out.

Vlam 02-25-2016 10:09 AM

You guys are actually enjoying Game Grumps but don't want to admit it.

MA 02-25-2016 01:36 PM

lol vlam you're the one making that assumption, i never even said i don't enjoy it. the video quality was shit at first and the players irritate me sometimes but other than that i think it's ok.

what turned me off was the possibility that they might just make ten or so videos of this and then stop playing. i don't see the point in a let's play that ends half way through.

Varrok 02-25-2016 01:40 PM

I don't really watch it, but I took a quick glance at ep6 and it's in good quality now

EDIT: They killed 16 Mudokons in RF_1

Why don't you support Havoc, Shade and Crashpunk instead? They deserve praise for their hard work.

Nepsotic 02-25-2016 01:59 PM

Because maybe he doesn't like to watch people who play games and put it on YouTube as if it's a skill.

how do you know i don't already, mister argumentative? you're very over-presumptuous.

but for the record i already support CP and have watched a few of his LP's, i don't like speedrunning so i haven't seen any of Shade's work, and i didn't know Havoc had made an Oddworld LP so i might look that up in the future.

also i only watch this shit if it's enjoyable to me and as a way to wind-down, i don't turn it into a crusade and start watching every Oddworld LP out there in an effort to support them all. they may deserve support but i choose not to. i have more important fucking things to do.

Keep up the good work. I'm not courageous enough to watch their videos.

MA 02-25-2016 06:27 PM

lol sick burn bro

"they deserve praise for their hard work, but i've never actually watched a video". so you were just arguing for the sake of arguing again?

be quiet, vlam. nobody cares.

Vlam 02-25-2016 06:39 PM

MA, what did you learn from Game Grumps?

Back a few moments:
I find their commentary mostly enjoyable, and that's what matters to me.

STM 02-25-2016 11:32 PM

Come on chaps, can't we all just get along?

EVP_Glukkon 02-26-2016 12:48 AM

I watched one of their AO parts and it was plainly clear how staged their humour is. Any of us Oddworld fans know well enough what a startled fumble with the controls looks like on screen. It's all happened to us when we make a mistake, and Abe moves in the direction we didn't want or doesn't get away fast enough.

These guys just wait for Abe to get shot by doing nonsense things while flapping their mouths talking rubbish.

How unfortunate.

But on the flip side it makes for good discussion, and it's nice to see people talking up a storm about it.

Shade667 02-29-2016 01:38 AM

I dont watch game grumps for the games anyway, I started watching to support egoraptor and stayed cuz I enjoy the personalities on the show.

FrustratedAssassin 02-29-2016 02:31 AM

Nobody watches GameGrumps for the games. I used to like them back when it was just Arin and Jon, but then Jon left and they became this huge team for some reason.

And yes, it was only enjoyable because of JonTron for me.

Phylum 02-29-2016 03:41 AM

I don't like them. Not even their Sonic 06 playthrough.

1v1 me

STM 02-29-2016 03:55 AM

I think their Sonic 06 play through was the only one I actually liked.

Crashpunk 02-29-2016 05:30 AM

Each to their own. I like countless games they've covered honestly. Both newer Grumps and the original.

Yup. I actually unsubscribed the moment Jon left. I only just recently got back into them.

I might like them again, but it's not even close to being as good as it was. Jon made that show great.

MA 02-29-2016 07:26 AM

i watched GG play Heart of Darkness, that was pretty funny. mainly because i kind of hate that game for how fucking frustrating/punishing it is. it's a great game but by the end you feel dead inside. they did too.

Vlam 02-29-2016 10:11 AM

Strangely, your weapon is destroyed by that monster before reappearing intact later in the game.

MA 02-29-2016 10:20 AM

ha yeah that's true, but it was cool how they did it. video game logic.

32degrees 03-16-2016 06:42 AM

It's not like GG ever finishes the games they start so it was matter of time when they would stop and move to the next game

scorptatious 03-17-2016 04:23 PM

*shrugs*

I didn't mind the way they're playing too much. After beating the game so many times, it feels nice watching some newbies play it.

That being said, they do go off on too many tangents, there's too many pauses in the gameplay, and some of the stuff they say about the game is baffling. Possessing the enemies feels like cheating? It's an integral part of the game and a lot of the game's puzzles revolve around it.

Regardless, it doesn't look like they're going back to it, so meh.

I'm the very opposite with games. It drives me nuts watching them. If it's someone new at the game and I'm there to teach them, then yeah sure that's different. But I still I find it cringe-worthy. :S

until said newbies get stuck at a point in the game at it takes all your energy to not go into a rage screaming at the screen "YOU'RE OK IF THERES ONLY ONE PARAMITE STOP FREAKING OUT GOD DAMN IT"

JayDee 03-29-2016 03:58 PM

I do enjoy myself some good old Game Grumps every now and then, though I mostly watch it for the commentary rather than any interest in the games they choose to play and I certainly preferred it more when Jon was still around.

I've found that a lot of my enjoyment from watching them comes from the stories told on either side. Arin, Jon, and Dan are all very "real" people and some of the stories they have are quite entertaining, as for Suzy and Barry and whoever else makes up the Game Grumps now I have no idea. I don't usually watch the stuff with the others in it besides the Undertale playthrough with Barry and the other one. Sometimes I do find myself skipping through a video when (mostly) Arin will get stuck on something and the stale humour ensues:

:

Arin: I can't do it
Dan: What
Arin: I CAN'T DO IT
Dan: YOU CAN'T DO IT
Arin: I JUST CAN NOT DO IT
Dan: I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN NOT DO IT
*repeat ad nauseum*

Varrok 03-29-2016 10:05 PM

Barry was a thing even in the old grumps. He was the funniest one because he never talked or showed up, all his comedy was visual and scripted.

Now.... I'm not even subscribed, and not without reason
