Because if I always sat when I was on the computer, I'd be spending 90% of my day sitting. It's not healthy and it's also annoying. I find I think better and work better when I'm standing.

I spend all the time at the Computer sitting and I do feel the negatives of it all the time. (bad back, I have RSI in my right wrist). You just need to stretch a lot.

But on the other hand, I'm standing up all day at work and need the rest. I'm not coming home and standing up again on the PC.

I think standing desks are cool though. You definitely need to get used to them though. (I don't have on obviously, but I've used one.)

You have no idea. I come from a chunky-legged family and I spent several years at university biking to-and-fro. And this year I joined a gym that's so leg crazy that in the first few months I ripped three pairs of jeans.

You could even do squats in between web pages to maximise efficiency.
