I never posted it here as this site does not allow you to share version of the game when i posted Abe 99 my post was deleted, There a quite alot of nice poeple here but where there are nice people there are also sarcastic unsupportive members who shoot you down when you post, I made the forum just for Oddworld fans to find all beta stuff in one place then having to search forums and as am a beta collector, Oddworld Collector and Japanese game importer i decided to share my findings with all Oddworlds fans. I did it out of good not to upset anyone here or make then angry, the forum is there as an extra, no one has to join

I can't remember why your beta uploads were shut down, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with legal stuff, it wasn't that people didn't want to look into it, it's just that it breaks copywrite laws.

If he posted links to protected works of some kind then that would be a good reason. Not sure if prototypes and betas fall in that category though.

Abe 99 is a full commercial release, and pirating it is definitely illegal. Development versions are probably just as illegal, but less likely to be policed.

Not much else to add other than I really don't see the point in advertising your own Oddworld forum on a well-established one.

There is actually an interesting problematic going on here. Legendary Oddworld has a passion for alternate and beta versions of the games we all know and love. But due to some rules of this forum, that should absolutely not be changed, he can not fully share his findings even tough they could interest some people on this forum, including me.

So yeah what's the best thing to do then? I'm not sure an alternate forum is the answer, but what is?

Start a thread on any random warez forum. Problem solved.

Yes, but by talking about this new forum and saying that he made it due to not being able to post his findings here, he effectively did just post his findings here without actually posting them here.

Honestly, if we're throwing ideas for alternate formats around then consider a Wiki. You can collaboratively gather information, and just circulate the betas privately. It's better to just post your findings where everyone can see them without worrying about legality.

Thank you for understanding my opinion this is why i respect the staff here so much if this stuff is ever accepted on this site i will be sure to post here all the time. This is a great forum so i use this and my own and i always will, This is an Oddworld forum the other is just a beta archive and a place to share Iso's.
