What's the deal with pretty much removing fall damage anyway? I can understand it being on the easier difficulties, but even on hard?

There were reasons, but I don't know what they were. The designer will be able to remember.

Just have him waiting down there. And instead of Abe landing in a well when he jumps down, he can faceplant the floor next to the guy and proceed to say hello.

Nah, just have him fall down one of the deep off-screen pits. We can even string a 'death pit' sign across that chasm in the cutscene.

I hope someone at JAW reads my idea.

Maybe bring the death jingle back too, play it full blast to prove hes dead. Maybe even a death jingle remix.

I thought someone said they removed fall damage because it dissuaded player exploration?

I think it's the fact that in some points, the camera allows you to see some ground far enough below you that it would have been far enough of a drop to kill you in Abe's Oddysee. And that, understandably, is a bit misleading.

It should be a full on 2 minute techno death jingle remix, as it plays a disco ball appears and you got the whole gang there, breakdancing their lives away with Vykkers singing along, and the Glukkons clapping to the pace

..otherwise im not gona buy the stinkin game
