Maybe I'll try Jak again, if it makes you niggers happy.

Vyrien 04-27-2013 09:29 AM

Keep your disgusting racial slurs to yourself please.

I loved Ratchet and Clank, especially 1 and 3. Don't think much of the newer games though.

Sekto Springs 04-27-2013 09:55 AM

It's only a racial slur if you're black. Are you black? If yes, then you and Venks need to have a showdown to determine who is blacker.

Vyrien 04-27-2013 10:02 AM

I'm blacker than a golliwog in a coal shed.

This. It bugs me to no end when white people get offended by the n word. I don't know if this makes me a bad person or not, but I just see no reason to get upset about it unless you're actually black or there are people of that skin color nearby.

Bullet Magnet 04-27-2013 01:51 PM

Because silence validates such behaviour.

MeechMunchie 04-27-2013 05:02 PM

I'm not offended by people throwing loaded words around, I'd just rather they kept them to themselves so the "target audience" don't get offended.

It's fine if it's in good humor and doesn't become gratuitous but for some reason the way Jbot said it pisses me off a little.

I mean, there's like a million more subtle ways to pretend to be racist. Why go straight for the N word? It's just 'Oh this is the internet and I can do this' juvenile.

Now no more of you cream crackers discussing this unless darkies actually appear in either game series. I wouldn't know about that because apparently I lacked a fulfilling childhood.

Daxter King 04-27-2013 08:41 PM

One of the planets in RnC has a bunch of niggers on it.

Phylum 04-27-2013 09:17 PM

I'm pretty sure Sig is the only dark-skinned character in the entire Jak series, and even then he's not really black.

There's just no way for me to have fun without you ruining it, you *pfft* NIGGER.

Crashpunk 05-04-2013 02:49 PM

*gasp!* He said the N word!

Watch out guys, we have a badass over here.

Vyrien 05-04-2013 02:58 PM

Someone catch me, I'm about to faint from the shock.

Auriel 05-04-2013 04:21 PM

Guess it's up to me to bring thread back on topic then.
Anyway, one thing annoying as hell about the R&C games is that they, the ones I've played at least, force replays upon completionists such as myself with absurdly difficult skill points. I'd actually be fine with this system if it didn't force me to play the same game 20 times.
Storywise, I may be alone in this view but it annoys me to no end that both series decided to incorporate time travel. There's no place for traveling to the past in a logically consistent fictional universe imo

Phylum 05-04-2013 04:47 PM

I've 100%ed #3, and got damn close with 1 and 2. I can't think of any skill points you couldn't get in your first playthrough, even if some of them aren't really feasible until challenge mode. The only skill points that you might be quicker in many Challenge Mode playthroughs would be ones that involve buying things, because the arena rewards reset in each new game.

Are you kidding? Sig was totally black. It was Phil LaMarr doing his best impression of an actual black person.

Phylum 05-04-2013 05:24 PM

Yeah, but his skin tone is more of a dark olive ordeal. He's definitely black at heart.

The first few games weren't too hard to 100% but I clearly remember at least one of the latter installments where it is impossible to get every skill point on the first playthrough.
