Well, this thread is now boring.

Jbot123 03-04-2013 01:10 PM

Congratulations WoF. I suppose I shouldn't be questioning authority, but I am quite the mod-type character. It would be a shame if someone were to............

.........kill you.

congratulations, indeed.

Wings of Fire 03-04-2013 01:12 PM

aaaand it's fifty/fifty now...

Nate 03-05-2013 01:25 AM

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it's more like 44/56.

Phylum 03-05-2013 01:31 AM

Do you mean 11/14?

I can't figure out how that relates to the list, because 11 is a prime number and there are only 8 people on there.]

e: If you count every instance of a name including doubles and include Sydney you get 14.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

MeechMunchie 03-05-2013 08:22 AM

Discounting duplicates and ex-staff i.e. Cloverfield, and putting WoF as 0.5 on either side, I get 3.5:3.5. So I agree with Xav.

On the other hand, including duplicates, the distribution of positions is more like 6.5:4.5, or 59%:41%

I can calculate some standard error margins to establish whether there's a causal link if you'd like.

Wil 03-05-2013 08:30 AM

I suspect the scales are slightly tipped in our favour, even then.

Steamer_KING 03-05-2013 01:05 PM

All hail WoF. I mean, good luck.

I was counting Cloverfield, which is why I got 3.5:4.5, which converts to 44:56 in terms of percentages

Phylum 03-06-2013 12:52 AM

Geez, it's no wonder I was so confused.

44:56 simplifies to 11:14, by the way. That may shed a bit of light onto my rambling post above.

Nepsotic 03-06-2013 07:29 AM

Congrats! All hail the testicle!

I was counting Cloverfield

Well, that's a silly thing to do.

MeechMunchie 03-07-2013 02:17 PM

Yeah, she's big enough to count as two people.

MA 03-07-2013 07:37 PM

evidently. she's taking up a space on this forum and she isn't even here.

Bullet Magnet 03-07-2013 08:08 PM

Sigh... I used to be a moderator. But then they fired me for not doing any moderating. Let that be a lesson to you.
