Also, there's nothing special about themario world. Nothing whatsoever. It wasn't even unique at the time.

I felt when Mario went 3D the worlds became more interesting as you had objectives and could explore each area at your own pace.

There is nothing special about it! There might be now, in 3D. But back in the 90's I don't know what all the fuss was about. Sick of it... But you know, each to their own and that.
