It is, yes. One thing that would worry me is them starting production on this so late in the console cycle. I would hate to see a situation where they have to completely rebuild their game engine half way into production because of new consoles dropping.

I meant that I posted the very same thing to the Upcoming Games thread. None the less, Notch is pretty cool for offering that much money.

You've guys heard about Chris Avellone wanting to make Planescape sequel/spiritual succesor with his Obsidian Entertainment and Brian Fargo wanting to make Wasteland (Fallout's precursor) sequel with his inXile Entertainment, all kickstarter-funded? I'm starting to be afraid that if projects start at the same time fans will not have enough money :(

Somewhat justified. Notch's announcement was a complete and utterly shameless publicity stunt and put Schafer in a very awkward situation.

I should clarify that I don’t disagree. Everything about Notch these days gets under my skin.

They said that the more money they get, the more platforms they'll port it to. So, given that they've almost hit 5x their goal, you may be in luck.

They know you're hiding your last savings for a rainy day deep inside your teddy bear under your bed, away from them, OANST.

Sucks that Kickstarter is US only and as far as I know there aren't really that many great UK equivalents besides WeFund. I put a pledge in for a match 3 flash game but not a penny so far. I guess if you have the most fantastic idea in the world and sell it well, you'll get rich. But I'm not there yet.
