In any case, Mars's core is molten. It's just that the crust has solidified to the point that it's no longer moving about. |
I think we should just blow up Mars then. No but I think even if we managed to somehow trigger tectonic movement, the fact that there is only a weak ionosphere, like BM said, is probably the biggest set back to life as we know it. Perhaps Venus is a candidate, if we could get rid of all that CO^2
|
Well as the years go mabe we will have somekind of terraforming technologies,as for now we know what would be the stone age class terraforming, and its building tons of factories that emmit CO2,and we can create plants that suck up CO2 and make O2,so we know a basic how to lower or thicker the atmosphere but we dont know how to keep it that way...

i would like to mention, once again, that i'm still waiting for some sort of dodgy, backstreet bionic enhancements to become available so i can have my chainsaw arm fitted. HURRY THE FUCK UP TECHNOLOGEE
|
No one has posted this yet!?
|
Despite the advancement in technology, I would love nothing more than to have better reception for o2.
It's so terrible in the countryside. |
I saw this weird documentary about this weird experimental blah blah black sheep...
Well it was really about freezing people with dry ice, cutting their heads off or something and then implanting their heads with micro-particles that freeze the brain over or something. Anyway, apparently this is for someone to goto the future as they said "hopefully soon they invent a procedure to mend the heads back on and re-animate the bodies". You have to be fucking joking to even put this on TV! if you did this sort of thing and then re-fucked them in the ass then you will have zombies roaming around. :( Note: I don't really know if this documentary was srs bisniss I just watched it on TV a WHILE ago (can't remember when but at least 3-4 years ago at best). |
*shivers*
Yuck who would like to have their heads being cut off :X Also I saw something about that they will make electrified roads that will support levitating cars. They also made a real robotic baby http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=RbgzqFtcALA |
On the videos to the right I noticed this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dwXX...eature=related

Isn't that a bit cruel to enslave a machine just to make it sing about freedom?

fucking things freak me out. they should be annihilated.

I think the maker is the one who should be

iRobot, it's gonna happen guys.
When the World burns I'll be outside roasting marshmallows on a deck chair. |
this will happen in the future :X

If anything from a science fiction movie happens in the future I'll be very disappointed.
Not in the world burning, just how banally cliched it all is. |
If ever possible, for me;
So many cybernetic enhancements. All of them. |
I want photosynthetic skin.

Not if he knocks on your door with a minigun saying asta la vista baby :P

Does any one think it would be possible to drill into the earth's core out at sea to create an artificial volcano (if the core is under extreme pressure I assume lava would be pushed out) and therefore an island? |
You only need to penetrate the crust, becouse the mantle is half molten and then lava might erupt but only underwater.
|
We should focus more on converting sea water into drinking water than creating more land. That way we could give water to people in the middle of Africa and begin to terraform our own shitty deserts before we go off to rape Mars.
|
:
Ever heard of how it's incredibily inefficient, sucks up a shitload of electricity and is terrible to the marine environment? We should focus more on better water recycling techniques and convincing the public that recycled water isn't as icky as they think. I agree about the deserts though. |
Yeah, I actually did completely forget about the negatives of desalinisation. On the other hand, there must be a way of fusing hydrogen and oxygen together to create water? Although I imagine that again, that isn't viable for the west, however, in the African deserts, where they actually need the water, we could surely hook up the devices required to make water up to enormous solar panel farms?
I see a niche in the market here... |
Where are you getting the hydrogen and oxygen from? How are you processing it?
