My sister loves ferrets.
I myself once had some hermit crabs. They were remarkably sweet. I couldn't bring them along with me to Denmark. The airlines would not have allowed that, and I doubt a shipride across the atlantic would have suited them, so I gave them to another hermit crab owner. My sister has had some surprisingly intelligent dwarf hamsters. They seem to be able to escape from nearly every single cage we've tried to put them in. They know exactly where the food is, and head straight for it as soon as they escape. Either that, or my sister's security is extremely lax. I suppose I have two rabbits as well, but those are less mine and more the rest of my family's. I do love them though. One of them is a gentle, giant, jet-black (in the winter anyway) rabbit, and the other is a smaller, feisty, bouncy with nearly the same color as DarkHood's cat, and a pair of very floppy ears. The surprising thing is that everyone who breeds rabbits claims you cannot keep two male rabbits in the same enclosure. These two are male, and live in the same space, and yet I have never seen them fight, or seen any evidence of them fighting at all. |
I have a tokay gecko.Here are a few pics.He likes to nip on fingers XD

Haha <3 your gecko man, haven't seen it before. =)

I have two guinea pigs. One is seven years old - so she's already outlived the average bloodhound, but she has a golf-ball sized cyst on each ovary as well as breathing problems so I don't suppose she'll be around much longer. The other one is about four-and-a-half.
Guinea pigs really are amazing animals, they can identify the sound of the crisper opening and vegetables being cut - which causes them to break out in a frenzy of squeaks. |
Nice I love guinea pigs too. Now that I think of it we used to have two guinea pigs and 11 hermit crabs.

I have a wonderful dog, she's 12 now, some teeth missing but still awesome. I hardly accept that she won't/can't live forever...

If there were no collar on that dog I wouldn't have guessed where it's head was.

Hope it's alright that I bump this thread back up. ^^;
That's an awesome gecko, Scraby. @DarkHoodness: I love the look Friday is giving in the first picture. Cute~ I've got it on my profile info that I have a black cat named Abe. Yes, it's true of course. He's about.. oh three-four years old now. I find it funny that he, ironically, likes to escape out of the house to roam freely outside. Just like how Abe tries to escape Rupture Farms. =l He doesn't like to show me a lot of affection, but he does have his moments where he'll just come up to me when I'm playing a game or watching tv. |
So many great pictures, jealous of that Tokay. I've wanted one for years but I can only ever find parasite ridden wild caught specimens for sale. All of the captive bred tokays I've come across have been designer color morphs and way more money than I'm willing to spend on such a common species.
We currently have a young pit bull named Marty Feldman: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net..._1199016_n.jpg and our new rabbit Fiona that we got after our old Bun Pinto died on Christmas eve. She's a 14 week old Flemish Giant, which is one of the largest rabbit breeds. Both of her parents weighed over 15 lbs: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...86647322_n.jpg |
Nice bunny ya have there ;)
Hmm you could try out some pet stores and ask if they can order you a normal captive bred gecko,thats what I did to get this finger nipper XD They are quite nice pets,you dont need to clean much,you just need to water their tank each day with destilled water,and give em fresh water daily.It does cost to buy one,I spent about 1.350 kn on the complete set.The gecko I have has somekind of hatered towards these temp and moisture bars,he keeps knocking them down on purpose,when he came in afther few weeks he would just stare at the bars probably thinking how to knock em over,then he would climb on them till they fall off. Thx Stm :) |
that rabbit is so cute.
here's Midge, the dog that still thinks he's a puppy: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-r...0/DSC00838.JPG other nicknames include Silky, Seal-Head and Shrimp-Ears, to name a few. this is the only half-decent picture i have of the mother, Shilo (whatever), unfortunately. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-p...0/DSC00869.JPG i haven't got any non-blurred pictures of our dumbo rats yet, but i should have soon. |
As much as id want a pet ive had to live my whole life so far with no pets I'll defiantly be getting one when I have my own house.

The gayly named Poppy is my household dog. Her favorite activities include climbing on the furniture, pissing in the kitchen, barking at the neighbors and beating me up. Love the shit out of her though.
