Not sure. If I were to guess I would say he was in it.

I'll add it to the list anyway and see if I can figure out where what and how

mrsmr2 12-31-2011 02:48 PM

As you go down to the river in Mongo Valley there is a tree to the right. The rocks behind it don't go down to the ground and you can shoot under it. Not a big issue. It's not present in the original.

Glitch 12-31-2011 04:46 PM

ooooh was looking for that one, Nice one.

mrsmr2 01-01-2012 03:28 AM

Having just listened to the original voice, cheekily, I'm going to add the Grubb Queen voice to the list of bugs.

Also, the queen still has the original voice if you listen to her talking before triggering the cut scene.

Wil 01-01-2012 04:35 AM

Does she have specific lines before the trigger the cut scene, or are they lines shared by generic male and female Grubbs?

Nice, then you don't read the forum that good. I already posted this two days ago aswell. :fuzvamp::happy:

Got another one just now.

Played a new game on normal, and got Boilz Booty alive in the first town. Directly afterwards I kicked all the money out of the towns people, and wanted to go to Buzzarton, but the door never opened. Had to reload the quicksave and bounty Boilz again. Tried this a couple of times to recreate it, but the door always opened afterwards.

Wil 01-01-2012 05:52 AM

Were all the Townsfolk currently in "Don't entertain that bullying bounty hunter" mode? Maybe just like the Jail, General Store, etc. that door won't open while the Clakkerz are all cooped up.

EDIT: Woo, post count of 12 000!

Not sure, I think it's generic but will check later - assuming I still have the save at that point.

Yeah but you were pretty vague about where, that's why I said I was looking :P

AvengingGibbons 01-01-2012 07:24 AM

Wil, you work for JAW? What do you do there?

No they were not. one other thingy though,

When you can't access this door before the fight, there's a sign, that sign is pinned with some sparkling thing on it.

Now the first time when the door did not open, that sparkling thing was there, the sign was gone however. Later on the reload, the sparkling thing was gone, and the door opened.

Must have been a loose circuit ;)

Couldn't recreate it before the cut scene as it needs her to be with someone and she always wandered off on her own when I reloaded.

However, she does talk to people in the village using the old voice, and I've heard one line with the new voice (in additionl to when you press [] to speak to her). She also has the generic voice when being slapped around;)

Wil 01-01-2012 10:24 AM

Yeah, that last point is unavoidable, since there's only one pool of voice files for each race. It's the same with Maggie and Farmer Beeks' daughters.

Bodd T.W. 01-01-2012 01:05 PM

Would this be considered a bug or a glitch; I can't distinguish between the two. :(

Moot point: Is the trophy description for "Get 'em goooooood!" correct considering you can get the trophy in the second act of the game?

Maggie?

AvengingGibbons 01-02-2012 07:00 AM

has anyone mentioned that shadows of characters on upper floors are cast on lower floors?

OANST 01-02-2012 08:19 AM

That's always been there.

The only voices rerecorded were the Native Grubb Leader and the Clakker who gives you the password to the Black Market (incidentally, her name is Maggie).

Well, that's just plain confusing now, isn't it?

Max Wil isn't the only person who can answer a question with a quoted post!

Did you/they (depending on who's reading this) fix the vegetation pop-in issue and the shadow bug?

No

Limitations of the engine I'm afraid, you'd probably be waiting until next year if we waited until we'd fixed those :(

Sekto Springs 01-02-2012 05:52 PM

In some instances I don't mind the shadow bug, as it can work to your advantage. Like when you're beneath a catwalk being patrolled by outlaws, you can see where they are and plan your attack.

I have a minor gripe with the Looten Duke model. When he first reveals himself standing on the roof, he's holding his gun, but it was absent in the original (if I remember correctly).

This bugs me for two reasons. Firstly, because he was originally animated without the gun and the animation wasn't changed, it looks very "glued" to his hand and even clips through him while he's waving his arms about. It's very distracting.
Secondly, the scene where he kicks the door down to fight you himself has so much oomph in the original because you see the heat he's packing for the first time, but also the way he lifts the gun implies that it's really effin' heavy and requires two hands. That being said, the fact that he's waving it around with one hand like it's weightless in the first scene becomes even more incongruous.

I'm picking nits, I know, but this seems like something that could be easily rectified.

Confirmed, added to the list

I haven't played it to test this myself, but someone told me that the voice-pitching on Jo Momma has been removed, so she sounds just like the other Outlaws. Is that true, and if yes, was it intentional?

It's definitely true. She sounds identical to the other Outlawz now.

Glitch 01-04-2012 03:20 AM

Maxiwilliam is telling me that he told everyone that like a million times. I think he's making it up. Added to the list.

Sekto Springs 01-04-2012 04:50 AM

He didn't tell me!
I thought it was intentional, to imply that she was in fact just a male Outlaw in drag. I still preferred her old voice though.

Drag queens generally don't talk with their original voices though...
