Jordan 12-20-2011 05:36 AM

I bought the Half-Life Complete Collection because it's on offer. FINALLY!

MeechMunchie 12-20-2011 12:27 PM

Psychonauts. £1.49. Buy it now, or you'll look as sluggish as molasses going uphill in January. On crutches.

Crashpunk 12-20-2011 12:33 PM

Installing Psychonauts now, there's an achievement for the Great Gift Pile
:

Holiday Dinner - Cook and consume two different kinds of roast in one sitting.
No idea how to do it.

Also there is a really easy Spiral Knights achievement in the PvP area. Everyone should get it :)

No idea how to do it.

  1. Unlock Pyrokinesis
  2. Find bird
  3. Use Pyrokinesis
  4. Collect roast bird
  5. Find squirrel
  6. Use Pyrokinesis
  7. Collect roast squirrel

Dynamithix 12-20-2011 01:20 PM

Should I get Dungeons of Dredmor? It's cheap as hell and looks quite promising. Has anyone tried it?

MeechMunchie 12-20-2011 01:21 PM

All I know is that it has Veganism as a character trait.

Cue Max saying "Sold."

Havoc 12-20-2011 01:22 PM

So far I don't own any of those games and I'm not planning on getting them just for the achievements.

My guess is thats not near the start of the game.

MeechMunchie 12-20-2011 02:24 PM

Pyrokinesis is second power unlock I think. If you spend some time hunting for secrets, you should get it by the time you complete the first level.

MeechMunchie 12-23-2011 11:22 AM

Audiosurf, possibly my favourite indie game ever, £1.49. Worth hours upon hours of playtime.

Frozen Synapse, £2.24.

Phylum 12-23-2011 02:09 PM

I can't recommend Frozen Synapse enough if you like games like Reversi or Chess.

Anyone who buys it should sent me a PM so that I can play a game against you.

Crashpunk 12-23-2011 02:13 PM

I did the achievement in Psychonauts. I really love that game :)

Cave Story + is also on sale. Which sucks for me cause I have literally no money left from Christmas

Manco 12-23-2011 02:15 PM

Cave Story+ is also one of the bonus games in the current Humble Bundle, if you want all those other indie games with it and are willing to part with ~$5.26.

I got it ages ago but never got round to installing it.

Jordan 12-23-2011 02:59 PM

I just got the Humble Bundle because of its price. I think it's such an awesome idea to allow you to give money to a charity. Brilliant.

Nate 12-23-2011 04:47 PM

Very this. I've got 75 hours logged up of Audiosurf, despite the fact that I only ever play it for 10 minutes or so in a session.

MeechMunchie 12-24-2011 07:06 AM

It's become part of my routine.

1. Find songs I like
2. Buy CD
3. Listen to it a couple of times
4. Listen to it in reverse order
5. Play it on Audiosurf
6. Goes on my iPod.

Also, that's at least the third time you've repped me just for mentioning Audiosurf. With just the comment "Audiosurf!".

MeechMunchie 12-24-2011 10:03 AM

Blood Bowl got around the 70% mark from most things, but if you like crazy Warhammer shit, it's probably worth £5.99.

Jamestown, a well-recieved "bullet hell" shooter (think Asteroids), £1.74.

Plants vs. Zombies. £2.37. No excuse if you haven't got it already.

Phylum 12-24-2011 01:01 PM

Jamestown is much more Touhou than asteroids.

So. Many. Bullets.

Dynamithix 12-24-2011 01:11 PM

I got Jamestown in the Humble Bundle deal. It's pretty good.

DarkHoodness 12-25-2011 05:04 AM

Skyrim on sale for £23. Deal ends in about 3 hours. Do lemmings like cliffs? *jumps*

Havoc 12-25-2011 10:47 AM

Interesting. Modern Warfare is on sale already...

Also Fallout 3 is on sale. Must have if you haven't played it.

MeechMunchie 12-26-2011 04:28 AM

Just bought it.

Braid, £1.74.

VVVVVV, 99p.

Dynamithix 12-26-2011 06:03 AM

I wonder why they are putting all the Humble Bundle games on sale.

MeechMunchie 12-26-2011 02:32 PM

Bastion, £3.89. BUUUY IIIT

Rock of Ages, £1.74

Anomaly: Warzone Earth, a very well-recieved "inverted tower defense" game, £2.24.

Dynamithix 12-26-2011 02:41 PM

Rock of Ages seems really nice. Sadly, my computer probably disagrees.

Wings of Fire 12-26-2011 04:16 PM

I'll go to the bank tomorrow and see if I've actually got £3.89 in my bank account, I promise.

Dynamithix 12-27-2011 07:31 AM

Oh shit, I just got Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 on Steam for making a wishlist with 10 games. Neat.

Crashpunk 12-27-2011 08:11 AM

None of the games I want I won't be able to run. Looks like I'll wait for next years winter sale.

MeechMunchie 12-27-2011 02:48 PM

All of the Dawn of War's are 2/3rds off.

Someone buy Sequence for 99p. Tell me if it's good.
