Stop pretending you don't. Now open the doors.

MeechMunchie 10-10-2011 08:10 AM

*BZZT!*

The correct answer was "Yes he has".

Wil 10-10-2011 08:28 AM

I don't remember any characters called 'Who'.

MeechMunchie 10-10-2011 08:49 AM

Doctor Who? Ring any bells?

Wil 10-10-2011 08:57 AM

The programme starring the character called only 'The Doctor'?

MeechMunchie 10-10-2011 09:01 AM

Popular misconception is still popular opinion. Outside of the programme he is almost universally referred to as 'Doctor Who' to avoid confusion with, y'know, every other fictional doctor.

Or to put it another way, You know what I'm bloody talking about.

Wil 10-10-2011 09:09 AM

Oh, well, if it's both popular and an opinion, I stand down entirely. Can't argue with such forces.

MeechMunchie 10-10-2011 09:20 AM

There are some things that just aren't worth arguing with.

T-nex 10-10-2011 01:35 PM

Such as your face!

MeechMunchie 10-10-2011 02:08 PM

You are evidently one of them.

STM 10-10-2011 02:23 PM

I'm a dalek.

Bullet Magnet 10-10-2011 06:06 PM

What's happening?

I don't remember any characters called 'Who'.

Well, actually, Christopher Eccleston was credited as 'Doctor Who'. Tennant objected and it got changed to 'The Doctor' when he took on the role.

Wil 10-11-2011 01:01 AM

But he wasn't called Who in the episodes. Credits aren't canon, unless there really are such words tunnelling through the time vortex.

Phylum 10-11-2011 01:26 AM

Who?

He wasn't definitively not called 'Who' though.

We'll just have to wait until Matt Smith decides to quit before we find out.

Wil 10-11-2011 02:06 AM

We're going to find out when he quits?

Nate 10-11-2011 05:10 AM

Oh, I forgot you haven't seen the second half of this year's season yet. Ignore me.

Wil 10-11-2011 06:03 AM

O_O

I'm guessing "the oldest question" is actually the most obvious one, then.

Bullet Magnet 10-11-2011 06:21 AM

Well we never found out how Ten pissed off Queen Elizabeth I, unless they put it in a book (the books' canonicity is fuzzy).

Wil 10-11-2011 06:31 AM

And I've been dying to find that out.

Yes we did. He mentioned it to Dorium while they were in the TARDIS.

Bullet Magnet 10-11-2011 02:10 PM

He did? God, that was a busy episode. I need to watch it again.

STM 10-12-2011 12:02 PM

Which one was that?

Bullet Magnet 10-12-2011 03:45 PM

Must be the last one. Dorium didn't have a scene in the TARDIS in his other two appearances I know of.

enchilado 10-22-2011 10:44 PM

He also mentions when he arrives on the Ood planet in The End of Time that he had, er, invalidated Elizabeth's nickname.

StrangerEastwood 10-22-2011 10:49 PM

I have missed so much lately, havnt seen anything since When a good man goes to war, or whatever that episode was called.

Pilot 10-23-2011 04:04 AM

Sorry Max, it took me a while to find a special "select" gift for you. It lies in between 24:52 and 24:56

OH LOOKS LIKE I WAS RIGHT. Yawn.

OH LOOKS LIKE I WAS RIGHT. Yawn.

I didn't predict it, if only because I didn't see it as being important or interesting or relevant to anything much beyond having a nice pointless mystery.

And I prefer not to see The Doctor as being actually important on a cosmological scale. Though I concede that the current and immediate previous show runners clearly don't agree with me on that one.
