Say Glitch will there be an alpha release of these games to a select proportion of the public? Y'know, purely for the purpose of getting feedback. If so, I'd like to put myself forward. I know, I'm such a noble giver!

They actually did something similar with the first patch for Stranger's Wrath - they released the patch files to a few folks on the Steam forums, then got feedback.

Whether or not they do the same again is up to them, but if they did you'd probably need a PC copy of the game.

Oh, for a second I thought you were attempting satire here by referring to the first release of SW PC as an alpha. I was amused.

Haha, I thought that too.

Unfortunately, short of upping the resolution of the plant textures (which I've already done) there's nothing else that can be done about that particular problem; it's caused by how the engine handles the alpha channel of textures.

I had another look at those screenshots and I really feel that those grass sprites could use some more transparancy or at least a slightly lighter color to match the original a bit more and also to make them blend in better with the environment. In those new HD pictures they seem to draw to much attention.(Pictures from the first town).

Same thing for those flowers in the tutorial shots. They just don't seem to blend in with the rest of the environment like they should. Mainly because the lighting doesn't match the lighting of the surroundings. But that has probably been fixed allready :) or at least I hope it is.

It's worth point out that a) the contrast in the HD pics is higher, so the flower will naturally look relatively brighter compared to the darker regions, and b) in the HD pic, the flower is obviously in the light, which isn't the case in the SD forerunner. For that reason, it doesn't look at all out of place to me.

lol, fans argue about single flower. :p

When it comes to video games, all it takes is a single flower to become a point of contention.

I picked the wrong medium to enjoy.

I was talking about those white ones that are all over the sides of those rock platforms, not the one in the foreground:p

It's not the medium, it's the people. Every medium has it's nit-picky asshats.
