Good god no, I can barely use CSS let alone PHP, MySQL and Javascript.

What about LUA? :p

Who-ah?

Glitch 02-01-2012 01:10 AM

I offered Wil my Lua based support but he just scowled at me and stole my milkshake :(

Wil 02-01-2012 01:13 AM

It was a soya milkshake, you wouldn't have liked it. Because you have no taste.

Woo, upgraded to Lorne!

Next time I'm in the UK, I'll interview you. How do you feel about pyramids?

That's because Soya milk smells like tuna.

I have no strong feelings on pyramids, one way or another.

Well you need a lack of taste to keep that vile stuff in your mouth long enough to swallow it.

Yes, that's the kind of comment I was already pre-emptively taking the piss out of. Well done.

At the risk of sounding like I didn't enjoy your comeback, I have been looking for a webdev for the last four-ish years, because I don't have the time to implement the tech. MediaWiki is just so goddamn oafish. If I never have to use their markup again, I'll still hate it till the end of the universe.

=D

Anyway, can't you just expand on the text that is already there, and provide references as to where you got the content of each page?

By the way, I was told in these forums the Meech tribe described in the Mudokon page is possibly fanon. Is that true? I had always assumed you had gotten that particular piece of information from Dear Alf.

Creating references is so goddamn hard. I'm utterly commited to it, but there's no easy way of doing it. There's a MediaWiki plugin that makes it vaguely uninfuriating, but it's still a massive ballache.

It's essentially fanon.

And Glitch being the new Lorne.

That's not fair. Glitch actually says things when he talks instead of using Lorne's ability to let some kind of hippy bullshit newspeak fall out of his mouth for half an hour without ever saying anything that anyone can put a finger to, and say "Here! Here is some meaning".

Glitch will have to work extra, extra hard to reach Lorne's level of bullshit is all I'm saying.

Varrok 02-01-2012 08:35 AM

Just admit you're jealous

Just admit you're jealous

Of course. As a person who works in marketing I am both fascinated and jealous of Lorne's ability to spew meaningless garbage, and still convince people that what he's saying makes sense, and is possibly visionary.

STM 02-01-2012 09:11 AM

And yet you hang about on a forum for a game series he created.

Sekto Springs 02-01-2012 09:43 AM

The quality of a creation doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of it's creator. *cough* George Lucas *cough*

I'm actually glad Lorne remained relatively reserved in the messages he put in the Oddworld games. The art came first, which I admire. I am more than certain, however, that there was plenty of damage-control on behalf of the PR guys as to what Lorne was allowed to say in his games.

Now if only Doug fucking TenNapel could get the same PR guys, we could re-live the glorious 90's all over again.

I never said I was smart or anything.

STM 02-01-2012 11:23 AM

You insinuate it repeatedly though. Don't worry, I forgive you.

MeechMunchie 02-01-2012 11:42 AM

He stopped being interested in Oddword years ago. He's just here for kicks.

STM 02-01-2012 11:55 AM

And because he loves us. Each and every one.

I'm looking forward to synergising my skill base above and beyond the status quo by extrapolating the market base previously explored by Lorne. The future looks to be a time of incredible expansion and unparalleled in terms of levels of furtive creation. I am, personally, excited for all of our onside customers who invest in our ongoing strategies; their ad-hoc approval of our creative structures will allow us to gain the capital we need in order to firmly establish a foundation in our chosen market niche.

Both

That's the spirit.

STM 02-02-2012 09:26 AM

You laugh now, but Lorne is crying over this, bitter, bitter tears.

OANST 02-02-2012 09:39 AM

Well, that's what he get, 'cause I cry every time I read one of his damn interviews.

STM 02-02-2012 09:39 AM

What about his fan fiction?

OANST 02-02-2012 09:45 AM

Naaaaaaate, STM is troooooolling meeeeee.

Oh how things have changed in your absence my boy.

A laudable attempt at bravado, however it is merely a façade.

MeechMunchie 02-02-2012 10:50 AM

A façade, I say! An imitation most inept!

Ah, "Façade". A word so eloquent it has a beard.
