Funny, The Oddworld Manuals all have a nice scent to me! :D

Since I was young all of my copies of OddWorld even the new re-bought version off of ebay OddWorld Abe's Oddysee smells the same as many years ago, I suspect the factory, or whatever that made the copies of OddWorld had a scent to it, just like many other games.
