I can't say I've ever used a "gaming" keyboard. Then again, I am not much of a gamer (not anymore, at least), so I am perfectly fine with a shitty Dell keyboard.

WASD is seconded nature to me as well.
Just a thought. Anyone left handed here? and do you find WASD comfortable? |
Left handed can use IJKL just as easy...
|
Left handed people use the cursor keys.
|
Really? What do they use for jumping, reloading and all that crap? Arrow keys are much too far, at least on my keyboard.

Left-handed controls for Half-Life (can easily be adapted to other shooters):

I could never get used to the Wii remote - Unlike a mouse it was hard to keep it steady and make the quick, tiny, precise movements needed for 3D shooters. I always found it to be too inaccurate and cumbersome, and came to the conclusion that I like my controllers to be more solid. Maybe the machine I played on wasn't set up properly.
I also like how you can let go of a mouse and it'll stay in that position until you touch it again - You can't do that with a Wii remote. |
Too bad we have no way to check that since none of the good shooters ever appear on the shitty Wii.

I'm also yet to hear anything good about playing Killzone 3 with the Playstation Move, which is supposedly better than the wii motion sensor. |
Standing around with a plastic gun in your hand is fun in an arcade, I don't really see it working with any of the serious FPS's out there.

play kinnectimals... and you lose your life :(
seriosly look at this! |
I seriously don't see whats so appealing about that? The only motion controles i like is the Wii and even that is becoming stale.
You can never bet the days of wired controllers and joysticks. |
