Nintendo has a terrible download policy, Super Meat Boy couldn't fit under their constrictions, no way Stranger would.
|
Also, the Wii is just too underpowered to keep up with the 360 and the PS3. It's not like they're the only game publisher to give up on 3-way console cross-platform development.
|
Fair enough, it's just a shame that nintendo, which is known for having "innovative and fresh games" won't be able to give wii only users a slice of the pie.

(The answer is 'Four', by the way. In one year. And four the year before that, five in 2008 and fucking ten in 2007) |
10 mario games in 2007? I cant even name 10 mario games

...right... Anyway, I just hope we get the 4 games this year, to be equal or better than the old ones. I'm playing Munch for the past few days, and I gotta say, it's way to different from Abe's and Stranger's vibes. Can't say exactly what, but I will. In the future. |
I think I messed up my wording.
Whether they nintendo actually is innovative is opinion, i'm talking more on how the general public views the company. you know, not a forum of nerds like us we're nerds this doesn't even affect me cause i don't even have a wii anymore what do i care |

Correct, my mistake, I was actually thinking projects, but instead write games, sorry for the typo.
|
Well there has been three Oddworld games released on Nintendo's handhelds, albeit shabby.
|
I heard that Munch's Oddysee on GBA was horrible. But I still want it... :P
|
It is pretty horrific.
|
Couldn't force myself to finish the first level... yep, it was that bad.
|
Awesome, now I don't have to get a PS3

I don't know, doesn't look that bad.

Really? It looks awful and the constantly looping music was driving me crazy. I've never played it and I don't plan on doing so either. Even the spooce pattern in the shape of a penis didn't get my liking.
|
Here's my experience with Munch's Oddysee GBA
Coming in, I didn't expect anything great. I played both of the Oddworld Adventures before touching Munch, and I liked those. Sure they were brutal, used a password system, and looked like it came from an atari, but they had a sort of charm I think. I expected badly rendered sprites, I thought the music was going to be worse than just the loops provided so that was a nice surprised, and I didn't expect anything too complex in the terms of puzzles or saving. The first few levels, there seems to be potential. Yeah it reeks of "cheap cash in" but it's playable, at least until you get maybe halfway through the game. That's when it all goes in the shitter in terms of level design, you know wells in xbox munch? Well, imagine a whole MAZE of wells, one big long maze, and you have to navigate through all of them to get spooce, and sometimes you have to get mudokons that are completely out of place sometimes (some even disappear for no reason!) to get through gates, to get to ANOTHER maze of wells, and vice versa while having droning music beating into your brain. there was no charm in gba munch's oddysee. |
Sounds pretty dumb. It did get really shitty reviews too. Well, maybe I just want it because it's Oddworld.
