No-one's put the Fresh Price of Bel-Air yet.

well of course...

THIS THIS THIS THIS

Also here are a few to start me off. I watch a lot of 90's cartoons because my childhood is dead and I require nostalgia to survive.

Check out those state of the art graphics... from 1997! And they're nice enough to remind you of the name of the show right there in the intro! "BEAST WAAAARS"

shut up chris

In fact there are a lot of 90's cartoons produced by Richard Raynis that I ended up liking.

Moar to cum.

This is the only movie intro I can think of right now that I'd watch again and again.

Lexx:

I think that Lexx is my equivalent to OANST's Dark Shadows. Not an exact comparison, but anyone who knows just how damn much OANST likes that show (and why) could probably see the similarity. It was awesome, just this incredible space saga without a whole lot of organization. You may notice that it implies that the pretty lady in the opening was present throughout most of the series, which is bullshit. she was replaced by someone ten times hotter about six episodes in (whose tits are just right there when she's introduced--BAM!). Lexx itself is one of the most frighteningly endearing things I've ever encountered in fiction. He's just a big friendly alien jet dragonfly space penis. They always leapt around with how exactly it fed, too. In the opening there it implies that it eats people (and it did, a lot, a fucking whole ton of people). Then they say that it could just eat dirt from planets and thn sometimes it fed off of just outright blowing shit up.

Are you kidding me? I fucking love Lexx. I started watching it when it was four Showtime movies called Tales From A Parallel Universe. I was so sad when it ended. And surprised. They didn't even announce that it was a season finale, much less a series finale, and then all of a sudden most of the characters died, and I'm like what the fuck and then I felt so alone and then I cried and then I couldn't watch Lexx anymore.

Oh god, Showcase (which, using the power of my mighty brain, I have concluded is the Canadian equivalent to showtime) used to show like two episodes a night during the time of night when I usually washed the dishes. Sometimes washing the dishes took a long-ass time, so Lexx got me through many a soapy chore. It was seriously the defining show for me for awhile.

And whenever I forget about it for awhile, I can remember just about every character except for the Love-Slave Robot. I have no idea why.

Anyhoo, this is without a doubt my absolute favorite intro to anything ever. I fucking love Tim and Eric.

OANST 01-10-2011 10:08 AM

My favorite episode was when they landed on the planet that housed the remains of the past Divine Shadows. Something about the planet would return them to life, which fucked with Kai since he was technically dead, and made him recite Shakesperian dialogue with the voice of a retard.

keeperxiii 01-10-2011 11:23 AM

What kind of fucking dick still uses a crappy forum interface like this? I expected a damn embed button on the post editor. GET ON WITH THE TIMES PEOPLE!!

JAG was so... meh.

Supposedly he was in the Brunnen-G equivalent state of being stoned.

I really need to order a box set of Lexx or something.

moxco 01-10-2011 02:49 PM

Doesn't even sound that great. However I impulsively smile upon hearing it.

When I was a Kid THIS was epic...

yep. that's one of my favorite openings.

...and one of my personal favorites. I'm really surprised this hasn't been posted yet :/

MeechMunchie 01-13-2011 09:07 AM

The Futurama one was really good. Short, to the point, good music, and introduces you to the world in 30 seconds.

I love this on so many levels. I'm a cool cat at heart.

keeperxiii 01-13-2011 09:24 AM

I forgot that one! I love the Futurama intro. Catchy song.

Pingu!! I loved Pingu ... But he was sort of scary too.

Elmatto753 01-13-2011 09:54 AM

He had an extendable mouth. What could possibly be scarier?

keeperxiii 01-13-2011 10:22 AM

I don't have the last season, but I have the rest on dvd.

For some reason I got it in my head that Jordan had a collection of Lexx episodes in a box set. Now, Jordan hates Lexx. He just despises it. So yesterday, right in the middle of a very important iCarly episode (protip: Sam beats up a large black woman) I asked if he had it/could I borrow it. He kind of...violently...reacted...

Well, like, it's not so much that he said 'no' as much as his body just put together a crowd of noises that amounted to such in a furious little spasm. I think I might have saw it at a store downtown.
