Anyone who doesn't like WALL-E has forgotten how to perceive correctly.

Mr. Bungle 11-24-2010 01:14 PM

I agree with OANST.

I also loved Toy Story 3. That movie was like the ultimate nostalgiagasm of my life.
I cried at the end, and I'm not afraid to admit it. Don't judge me!

OANST 11-24-2010 01:16 PM

Juding in 3....2....1......Pussy.

Mr. Bungle 11-24-2010 01:39 PM

Hey, I might be a pussy, at least I can spell " judging" properly.

OANST 11-24-2010 01:59 PM

How the fuck did spell check not catch that?

Oh well, only pussies can spell and talk good.

Strike Witch 11-24-2010 02:17 PM

Still haven't seen Wall-E.

Geez you guys. I haven't seen Wall-E, Cars, Up, Ratatouille, or Toy Story 2 or 3. I didn't realize how much you were all pixar fanboys. I should rent Wall-E now though, because of the good things I hear about it in this thread.

We're not fanboys, we just don't abstain from cinema. These movies have been released over a period of more than a decade. I'm certainly not eagerly waiting for everything that Pixar releases.

ziggy 11-24-2010 02:27 PM

Ima joking!

Dipstikk 11-24-2010 11:07 PM

I keep wondering if the movies Scrabface is describing are actually from Pixar, or if he didn't just watch some of the crap from Video Brinquedo and mistook that for Pixar.

Fuck you. Cartoons are not supposed to be fun. They are supposed to fulfill the original vision of whomever created them, whether that be fun or not. To say cartoons can only be fun is fucking retarded.

THIS.

I do like Pixar films quite a bit, the first Toy Story was genius. Speaking of which, I haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet, is it any good?

It was fantastic. I was worried about it not matching the hype, but it was just such a wonderful way to send off the franchise. I'm not really big on most of Pixar's movies. They are consistently good, but most of them have not really appealed to me, outside of Toy Story, Wall-E, and Toy Story 3. For everything that Wall-E dropped the ball on in it's later half, Toy Story 3's ending made up for it.

Video Brinquedo is getting better. They're just below how early Dreamworks was.

The new shittastic animation squad is Sparkplug, and they're 100% American.

Strike Witch 11-27-2010 03:49 AM

Okay, now I have seen Wall-E.

It was really cute. But I think once people started talking it went from "groundbreaking" back to regular pixar.

Also the live-action stuff was REALLY jarring.

I disagree. The humans later in the film were jarring. Not the live action bits.

scrabface 11-27-2010 06:40 AM

yeah but they didn't fit together, they should have stick to one picture. but live action only would have been much better.

OANST 11-27-2010 06:44 AM

I agree in principle, but where are you going to find that many obese actors?

scrabface 11-27-2010 06:45 AM

right, impossible. but the reason for the cartoony characters is the Uncanny Valley. they don't make the same mistakes like Zemeckis. goddammit, somebody please stop him.

enchilado 11-27-2010 06:57 AM

But on Mars there are no sharks for him to jump.

That looks monumentally insipid. Thank you.

The basic plot to every Pixar movie:

Wings of Fire 11-28-2010 10:04 AM

Uhhh

If you say so.

Sekto Springs 11-28-2010 10:17 AM

I don't know what happened to Zemeckis. He used to be cool, man.
He wants to make a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Ugh.

Wings of Fire 11-28-2010 10:23 AM

I've just now realized that Zemeckis was the director of the Back to the Future trilogy.

How on earth do you go from that to that? Maybe John Hughes would know.

Sekto Springs 11-28-2010 10:31 AM

Ikr? He used to be great.
Then motion-capture was invented and all went to hell.

Wings of Fire 11-28-2010 10:35 AM

Where's the 80s when you need them?

This is all Pilot's fault somehow.

Sekto Springs 11-28-2010 10:36 AM

Pilot is the official ambassador for the 80's.
