God, Oddtour (GODTOUR?) would be such a humdrum bottle of bored for us North Americans. Where would we go? Some woods? We'd look at trees? Drive through the Mojave desert and try experimental drugs? Hm?

Not that I would have forsaken meeting Dripik just to fulfill the requirements of a lame pun or anything. |

More like SoddTour.
Right? |
I tihkn we should do a teenage oddtour, who wants to go? It will be fun ad non-molesty.

@ Dripik: Since you're from Hungary have you been to Székesfehérvár? I have no knowledge of the place, but that's where my dad was born, and I might visit family there in the future. |
You guys are all spamming because you're jealous that you missed out on this weekend's incredible, edible, anchor spreadable
OddTour 4B!!! Which featured... http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1284980491 Max the Vegan (winsome!), Hobo (troll), Splat (geek), Sekto Springs (Mr Popular) and T-Nex (female! :pipe: ) http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1284980491 And some guy called Gluk Schmuck who Wil the Mug found in a vegan cafe! Our adventure went a little like this: I got an extortionately expensive train into London at Stupid AM on Sunday morning and there met up with Hobo and Max! http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...5&d=1284980465 Sekto and Nexy eventually turned up, too! http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...6&d=1284980465 We headed off to Camden Market and looked around, and then went to the aforementioned vegan cafe. Unfortunately the Camden Tube Station closed while we were sat around so Max's chum, Gluk Schmuck agreed to lead us on a dangerous journey on foot to Regent's Park, along a canal of doom! Along the way, Gluk Schmuck turned out to be none other than the ancient pre-Alcar's Reign of Terror member, Gluk Schmuck!! http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1284980910 After leading us a mere one mile in the wrong direction, Gluk Schmuck got us to Regent's Park! http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1284981212 In Regent's Park we did something secret and sneaky and Sekto Springs ran the battery on my camera down, ending all photographic documentation for the remainder of this post. Hobo and Gluk Schmuck made their escape and the remaining four of us headed to the Tate Modern Gallery to look at art and then we went to Wagamama to eat dinner. Finally, I used my extortionately expensive train ticket to head for home, leaving the other three to go to a bar somewhere. Lots of photos were taken by the others so hopefully they'll have the energy to upload them. And as a note to all those who were present, the sound on my camera did work and the results are hilarious beyond belief. |
Awwww :3
You're all so lovely. Alcar... |
Sekto has awesome glasses. And Nex is just cute. :]
Seems like you guys had a fun weekend! |
Spammers in this thread shall be sentenced to walk around London until their feet become blisters on fire and their nails fall off.
...You don't want this. :
OddTour 4B seems/sounds to have been great. It also makes OddTour 4A look bad - Wil, where are the pictures? You made a dozen photos of all kinds of stuff, especially good ol' Room 3. Also, those who stayed in London for the night (or two): did you by chance stay at a particular hostel above a lively bar somewhere in Lewisham? |
I am jealous of Sekto's hair. Mainly because I used to have hair like that until last Thursday, when it got massacred by a well-intentioned hairdresser.

And yes, I am VERY jealous!! |
Me too. ><
I'm glad you all had a good time though. So crazy seeing Chris and Nikki there. A good crazy. Like, having-crossed-a-whole-ocean-crazy. |
=D Internet cafe's for the win!!!
It was really fun. For me anyway. Chris had fun too(i guess) ^^ Everyone was fun. And we're glad to have met you all! I really hope there will be more oddtours in the future. You are all welcome to Denmark(or perhaps Romania) anytime(when Im available... so not anytime. hm.). It was sad to watch everyone go. Chris and I had to experience every individual departure :'( I wanna just hug you all. |
Posting because I just had to point out Nikki's flawless (and completely unintentional) fsjal pose in the first photo.
I also want to say in my own words just how much fun I had meeting you all. You were all such great company, and despite only knowing each other over an obscure videogame forum, I didn't feel awkward around any of you. When I have access to a computer without time constraints, Ill be sure to post a few of the pictures I took. Some of them are pretty epic. :) |
Nikki, I wanna hug you too! You rock! And you, Chris, contrary to forum impressions :p I had a great time and it was great meeting you all! And you, Dripik (dunno if he wants his real name out there/if it has already leaked)! And Wil and Charlie, obviously.
I will totally be on any other Oddtour I can get to in the future. |
How difficult did you guys find it to use each others' real names and not forum usernames?
|
With everyone's permission I'd like to add this (and any other pertinent past OddTours) onto one page/site. What do y'all think of that?
|
Do you mean simliar to the link in your sig?
|
Looked like fun guys!
I'm probably gonna sound like a noob here but why are there like no pictures of AbeBabe anymore on OddTour 2002? |
:
:
|
Did you fly in to Oddtour, or are you currently in the UK anyway?
|
I kept calling Wil 'Max' and every time Nikki wanted my attention she said 'Splat', which was ever so slightly surreal.
It was different depending on namer and namee. (Sorry, Wil.) |

I stayed in a hostel that wasn't quite as nasty as The Bird's Nest: It had an en-suite toilet, kitchenette, and wasn't located above a loud pub, but the beds were 500 times as uncomfortable. |

I HAVE THAT SAME FEDORA

Me too, except larger, and it's a trilby.
