Well, a couple of mates went to the launch night and brought home a copy each... boy, was I jealous. Anyways, they got home at around half one and completed the game in roughly 5 hours and said that it was the most epic yet.

One of my friends invited me in to play online and I'll tell you... it's amazing how balanced they've got it. It's not like before what with the whole run in shooting, last second pistol whip, oh no, Reach makes you work for your kills.
Single player as well (albeit I've on played like 5 minutes of the first mission) was simply beautiful and surprisingly open.

I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Hopefully it will today; if not, tomorrow.

Halo Reach is awesome!

The graphics look great, not quite Killzone 2 quality but what is? The sound...holy f the sound is the best I've ever heard in a video game. Not only is the soundtrack great but the way the sound effectss are implemented like when you lose you're hearing temporarily after an explosion is masterful adds so much to the experience.

I love the gameplay, everything feels so weighty and realistic, not like in COD where you and your weapons are like a feather weight.

The best thing about Reach though is the new Ivory Tower! I still kick ass on that map *nostalgiasm* One thing that sucks about Reach though is the frame rate, it's fitting that I compared Reach to Killzone 1 since that was the same problem that plagued it, is Reach too much for the 360 to handle?! IDK it's so fun.

Wish I had an Xbox for this game!

I finished yesterday. I liked it a lot.

The ending after the credits where you had to survive as long as possible was neat, in my opinion. Now I'm going to have to finish the game on Legendary, because apparently there's a secret ending like there was in Halo 3.

Well...yeah. Reach does get fucked over so I kind of had it coming.

Twas fun to see Captain Keyes again, he looks good when not getting skullfucked by the Flood.

That game is phenomenal, my one complaint with it was not building enough on the hopelessness of the situation and how they were just like "The Covenant will never come here" then how they were like "Oh look it's the Covenant". Reach is like the Thermopylae of the Halo universe so that's why they had "That really gay ending where all the good guys died *cries* uuughh it's so unlike Anime!"

Also the sense of scale given in the cut scenes were still a bit deceiving, but they've been doing that since Halo 3, showing huge scale rendered battles then having the missions be nothing like what you've seen.

Rendered? What do you mean by that? Every Halo game has the cut scenes run in game, just like when you're playing.

Yeah, so why can't we get those large scale battles in the actual gameplay?

To be honest, I wonder the same thing. Bungie made a big deal of having more AI at once, but I don't remember a battle that was larger than the big ones in Halo 3(The Ark level, and The Covenant level).

Can't remember which level it was, but you could see Scarabs, Wraiths and Scorpions fighting in the distance.

The feeling of hopelessness was shown in the level 'Exodus', when you're in the Falcon passenger seat and watch as Brutes tear the shit out of civilians.
