I wanted to say that new Quıntology games dont have to add new moons.

Well, I apologise for suggesting such an 'odd' idea, I think we've all established such a thing is pretty unlikely due to the fact they're on opposing sides of Mudos, but that's why we're brainstorming feasible reasons why they might meet up..

Perhaps the poster could have been passed on further west perhaps not intentionally by the Magog Cartel through people's possessions or whatnot OR Stranger could have been between West and East Mudos before the events of SW.
Who knows, perhaps it blew its way on a dusty breeze, to Stranger's foot and he snatched it up with his feet. That would be appropriately western.

I think Stranger does have a moon. Just not in orbit around Oddworld.

My question is why cant these characters be where ever Lanning wants them to be? It can be done just needs to be done right thats all.

A lot of thought and inspiration goes into most of Oddworld, and the moons probably especially so. I seriously doubt they're going to continue appearing without affecting the story and characters in important ways.

Not at the moment sure. But some point in the futures where all tales of the Quintology come together.

There isn't going to be a war. All that would be needed, I suspect, would be to kill or bankrupt most of the Glukkons, at least the important ones. Which could perhaps fit Stranger in with a role as some kind of Glukkon Assassin hired by the Mudokons to take out the Magog Cartel. Not that I could ever see that happening, just trying to stick to the topic :D.

Nah Stranger wouldn't be a hunter anymore, he has other duties now.

I think you might be trippin about seeing Abe in Stranger's Wrath. Was he hiding among the crowd of the grubs in the last scene like a where's waldo book?
If all the heroes at the end of the series come together and launch an epic war against the industrialists it would be dumb. The Oddworld creative team would be more clever than to come up with this Lord of the Rings kind of material.

On Topic: The idea just seems, retarded. Abe is like defenceless, all he can do is run around and jump up walls to avoid any contact with bullets. Stranger, on the other hand, is quite smart..? I'm sure instead of just assuming that hes gone because he jumped up a wall (Like a slig) he relises he can just use his Furry shooter cannons to catch him :D
The game would be over as soon as he found Abe. Playing as Abe would be like:
Start game, run for about 6 seconds, then.... OMFGosh STRANGER!!!1!! Caught, Stranger gets bounty, game over. Good work.

I think we've all considered how 'weak' Abe is, but Abe does possess the power of possession.. are you perhaps forgetting this just a little? If Abe can possess objects, like we have seen him do, than Abe could well indeed put up a clumsy, if not amusing attempt at alluding Stranger in a small boss battle of sorts.

Nah; I doubt Stranger will get a moon, he was a non-Quintology character...therefore I don't see how he qualifies for a moon; even if he did meet up with Abe.

Nah; the idea isn't at all retarded, even though they are quite different when it comes to physical qualities. Lorne said Abe and Munch are seemingly weak characters with hidden strengths (possession, gamespeak etc.) and that Stranger is a seemingly strong character with a hidden weakness (him being a steef). I see no reason why the three characters different qualities couldn't eventually work together. In fact; the differences are what make the idea even more interesting. :)

Honestly, I'd want to see it for one reason and one reason only. You know how in Stranger's Wrath when you Gamespeak with nobody around Stranger makes comments to himself about what he has to do or who he is after? The entire thing would be worth it to hear his sarcastically hilarious remarks about Abe.

But, yeah, I don't actually see this ever happening in the games since Stranger isn't a bounty hunter anymore. But I am sure we'll see them team up or just meet up eventually. If not in the games, then whenif the movie is ever made, based on the concept art. Technically, he could go after Abe as a bounty in a movie, as the events of Stranger's Wrath would be irrelevant.

Is the supposed movie a reboot of the videogame series then? I never really followed the empty promises about the movie, because I knew I'd be disappointed..

If "reboot" is the word you want to use, sure. They are/were supposed to tell the same story as the games only in a different way with a lot more added/changed.

I don't think they were ever canceled. They are just... you know... Indefinitely Postponed. We may still get them one day.

I don't see why anyone would be glad they were canceled, though. Obviously the movie was going to have a lot of stuff added. The story of Abe's Oddysee isn't exactly meaty enough for a movie as is.

Unless you were expecting the movie to be a whole new story set after the games or something, which was never the plan.

It wasn't in production, no, but they definitely intended to make it back then, and I am sure they had the story and concepts either down or being worked on. So, I'm not sure what terms one uses to describe something that was planned but put on indefinite hold other than the ones I used. ... unless I said indefinite hold. But it means the same thing.

Until they come out and say "We changed our minds, we aren't going to make a movie", I am going to assume it's still something they want to do at some point down the road.

Also, even if the movie does eventually get made, it could undergo any type of change during the pre-production and production time. Isn't all that concept art from several years ago, too? I'm sure if we ever see it, it'll be at least somewhat different from what was planned years ago. The idea of having Stranger in it could either wind up scrapped or radically reworked.

Abe is waaaay to far away from Stranger! I don't think Stranger would travel that much to hunt Abe, unless the Glukkons were able to pay alot of 'moolah'!
