I've gotten irked over negative reputation before, and it's usually given because someone's gotten their feelings hurt or getting crossways through some inter-forum politics or some other stupidity, but seriously: why?

Enough whining.

Although I dislike rep, on the whole I think negrep is required. With the introduction of rep I noticed a rise in in trollishness aorund the forums. It appears people were being dickheads to score themselves some rep. If it weren't for the risk of negrep people would be doing bigger and more annoying things and these forums would be alot more spammy.

But I personally think rep is completely and utterly stupid. To many people are desperate for rep and try pulling of crude, insulting jokes. What is the real point of rep anyway? To tell people how awesome one is? This is such a small community we all know who's cool and who's a fag anyway.

Just to clear this up, the hand raising was for the 'crude jokes' comment, and the FC repping thing was completely seperate. I'm worried people will think I meant that I +repped FC members as a joke.

The only thing that I don't like is when Nate deletes posts that I had received rep for. GODDAMN THAT WAS MEAN.

I have no way of seeing whether a post has received rep or not before deleting it. I'm not being malicious. I mean, beyond the normal 'deleting posts' level of maliciousness.
