No love for SEED?

Haven't watched SEED, but Destiny was a pile of shit, or so I've heard.

Sailor Moon

Hah you mentioned Sailor Moon :D

I used to watch that all the time as a kid. Unfortunately only the German Channel would show it, so I didn't understand much of what was going on... Actually scratch that... It was pretty easy to understand either way.

SAILOR CHIBI MOON!!

Saaaaame, it was one of the most popular though so I should probably check it out one day.

I love Death Note, although the books are better. The end was more atmospheric in the anime, but seriously WTF wharf chase-scene.

MeechMunchie 10-21-2009 08:53 AM

Have you seen the live-action Death Note? It's pretty good. On the subject of good animated TV shows, I suppose I should mention Robot Chicken.

There are Gundam shows that you haven't seen? I don't buy it.

abe is now! 10-21-2009 09:00 AM

I always loved The Flinstones... however I voted for Futurama.

Eh, the ending was a million times better, but overall I prefer the anime.

Where is Ren and Stimpy? Good God, man!

Bleh, I found out that the ending of Destiny basically shits all over the protagonist in favour of the script-writer's favourite pairing. Poor Shinn.

Crashpunk 10-21-2009 01:23 PM

The new futurama movies are brill!

Also how are they all pritty shitty?

OddjobAbe 10-21-2009 01:29 PM

They are not at all up to the standard you'd usually expect from them (they have been especially since Seth MacFarlane had a hand in them). Although, considering the show's popularity, and the length of it's run, it was predictable that it would go down in quality at some point.

looney-bin 10-21-2009 01:55 PM

So you include American Dad, but not South Park?

shaman 10-21-2009 02:03 PM

South park seems to be getting slightly better with every series. For contrast Family guy is getting worse and worse. I hope the "Bird is the word episode dies a horrible cuntish death

OP: Samuri jack.

Phylum 10-21-2009 11:51 PM

Afro Samuri, motherfucker :p

Hazel-Rah 10-22-2009 11:19 AM

I'd have to go with The Simpsons, had some great cameos on that show. Plus Mr. Burns, Comic Book Guy, and the Sea Captain always crack me up.

Crashpunk 10-22-2009 12:04 PM

The Simpsons is a classic but i think the new series is trying to be like Family guy
the old series are great though

OANST 10-22-2009 12:07 PM

They're called seasons. Seasons. This isn't one of your punk ass British shows.

Hazel-Rah 10-24-2009 09:53 AM

Even though the new episodes aren't always as good, The Simpsons is still one of my fav shows animated or otherwise. Futurama would be my second choice from that list, but Family Guy and American Dad, I just don't like those shows.

Now if you had The Tick on that list :3

I agree. It's like Tex Avery, except more dark and surreal. The artwork was phenomenal too. It puts all other animated shows to shame.
