Everyone has a different opinion over which game they prefer. AO has better atmosphere, AE is longer. In AE you can save whenever like, so it's much easier.
I would suggest buying both and playing them in order. |

It's hard to go back to AO once you tasted the quicksave of AE
|
Quicksave took alot out of the game, but probably put more back in.
Example: You stand on a ledge, quicksave, jump down the ledge and slap a slig (Which you can do in AE), die, respawn where you quicksaved, and continue without being stupid. |
Remember when the quicksave was a fantastic new feature that revolutionized the way we save games?
Seriously, it was freakin' awesome when it first arrived. Now games just auto save every time you fart. |
Invisible auto-save is a problem, because you don't know if the game saved or not >_<
AO with quicksave would be heaven. |
Be pretty easy though, since AO was mainly about pulling off ridiculous chains of stunts with perfect precision. If you could save every time you dodged a meat saw it wouldn't be as satisfying when you got it to work. They should have had just an 'Easy' and 'Hard' mode, the former with quicksave, the latter without. That way you would have official bragging rights and maybe better end messages.

I agree with Meechie. It would be like wasting the whole game. But it would be awesome though ^^! If you'd have to play the game without cheating and then you'd get quicksave option, THAT would be magnificent!

Well, I completed Abe's Oddysee and it isn't impossible. Munch's Oddysee on the other hand will be a lot harder for me to complete.
Quiksave can not make a pro into a better pro. It's simply a matter of Convenience ;) Note: I am currently playing Abe's Exoddus (aiming for 100% save rate as always). |

But AO and AE for XBLA, that would be amazing. |
AO/AE is already on plenty of consoles; PS1, PC, PSN (soon).
MO and SW however are only playable on Xbox. So they need to be dealt with first. Then we can pray for Sligstorm on WiiWare/PSN/Xbox Arcade! |
I always loved quicksave when I jumped, and in the middle kinda quicksaved, only to die at the end of the jump, to die over and over :P. Had to restart some times the whole level.
In general: I hate automatic saves! Sometimes you did something you didn't wanna do, but the stupid game just saved it, so you are stuck with it. |
Example: Some boss fights of Stranger's Wrath have quicksave occur when it really isn't wise. For instance, once it saved mid-way through the minecart boss, I ended up dying over and over because there were too many enemies at once! Had to start the entire chapter all over again!

I hope this game comes out soon , its october 1st (PSP Go was released today) and I was hoping it would be released with the onslaught of games released on launch, unfortunately it wasn't. Guess we gotta wait at least another week for the next update.

I can tell you guys we have official confirmation from OWI that it is coming to PSN, I guess you just have to be a little more patient.

Excuse me guys... but what can I do on PSN?
|
It's basically like Steam or the Xbox Live Marketplace - you can download games, demos, game add-ons, plenty of game-related stuff.
