Terminology has changed since then. An admin now doesn’t have the complete set of abilities of an admin back then. But possibly I could remove Nate from the staff, I don’t know. I’m not really willing to try it out.

They say the first mods rebelled against Sydney because Abe Babe convinced them too. The rebellion was led by Alcar and he single-handedly castrated Sydney. The male slough is what spawned us all.

To my utter shock, it turns out that I was actually banned earlier today as part of an illicit experiment in the effects of power weilding. As a result, certain of my permissions may have been eliminated. This was an act of reckless superiority and has ‘anti-trust’ written all over it. I for one can’t stand to be part of such an environment, where staff member turn on each other at the drop of a hat. I hereby resign my commission as administrator of the Oddworld Forums, and I feel it fair to warn you all that I shaln’t be returning. I invite everyone who feels similarly disturbed and abused by these disgraceful events to come and be my friends on a new message board I’ve set up: The Glass Package. |

It wasn't about anything, not explicitly. It was just a place to chat.
You could argue it was about spite, and you wouldn't be wrong exactly, but it became a place for friends to chat when they became too disgusted with the actions of Abe Babe/Pilot/Alcar to stay at the Oddworld Forums. Before Sydney closed it, anyway. :

I was a definite black sheep in that and all I did was WRITE THE NOTICE! GAAHHHHH!
But it looked like a Coup since I was also hosting OWF on my own webserver at that time. Plus, Sydney thought that I had brainwashed Abe Babe and "made" her ban him. Poor Paranoid Syd. :
