Alright. So I guess there is some hope. Or rather was some hope? I say was because it's been nearly a year since the Steam release and there hasn't been any news on this.

Eh, stop being so negative. AO and AE have been selling really well on Steam, and Lorne said if the sales went well, they'd consider porting MO and SW too.

All I can say is that last time I heard of the project OWI found someone to do the port...

Those games seem more like virtual console material if you ask me. As I mentioned I while back, I wouldn't mind seeing if a DS port would be possible, though.
Sombody wrote to the Offical Nintendo Magazine asking about a Oddworld DS game, it would be sweet if OWI made that.

I think AO and AE would work as a virtual console game, The classic controller would work a treat.

Yeah the only problem with AO and AE porting is that you need a lot of buttons for the gamespeak. A DS version is quite possible, either as a pure 2D sprite based game or as a 2.5D. Imagine how helpful it would be to have a minimap on the bottom screen, or a mudokon rescue record.

I wouldnt be surprised to see a 360/PC port either to be honest.

Funnily enough, that was my eldest nephew.

D: They never printed my questions while I was younger, bastards.

To be fair, he did attach pornography in the email he sent to them as a bribe.

Wings of Fire 04-21-2009 11:44 AM

I forsee a profitable future ahead for that kind of lateral thinker.

Really? I thought the person who wrote in was sombody from the forums :D

OddjobAbe 04-22-2009 07:15 AM

Nope. He's been into Oddworld since he first started playing games (thanks to Yours Truly). It's his favorite series, closely followed by Super Mario (which I actually find quite funny - he doesn't seem the Super Mario type).

Crashpunk 04-23-2009 09:19 AM

I love super mario :D

Well i'm glad you have made sombody like the series, we need more fans like you.

I think Abe's Oddysee might have been one of the first CD games I had. Although, I distinctly remember Myst and Worms Armageddon more. (BTW, I saved 97 mudokons on AO yesterday)

AlexFili 04-23-2009 11:16 AM

Balls to that, I'm not going all the way back just to find two measly muds. They probably deserved it anyway! :D

Crashpunk 04-24-2009 10:49 PM

AlexFili 04-25-2009 01:35 AM

I'm sure I looked in all the secret areas up to Zulag 2.
