On the other hand, as freaky as Miss Evangelista’s immediate post-death scene was, the skeletons lumbering about chanting ‘Hey, I’ve been eaten by shadows’ was highly lame, as was the mid-episode cliffhanger for that story, and the Convenient Trapdoor Escape To Nowhere. Moffat is not flawless, and some flaws in his stories are some of DW’s most painful.

I think this is one of my main complaints about the show. I think it works okay as pulp nonsense but I see so many people discussing it as if it were intelligent and important television. It's Lost In Space for fuck's sake. It's fun, sure. But it's not exactly high brow.

You would think it was lame. You figured out how they would get out of it minutes after it's broadcast :p

Because they showed a hole-in-wall blasting gun three minutes before. And even if they didn’t have that, they could have climbed the bookshelves.

Does anyone else think in the next series of Doctor Who, we will see the Doctor's "daughter"?

Also am I the only one who thinks they may make a spin off concerning her?

Elenth doctor ?

In this song they mention more than 11 of them.

I dont think you counted Richard E Grant who only played the role in the 40th anniversary BBC interactive webcast adventure.

I agree, it's the only way I can watch it.

Yes, since it was Moffat who had the script changed to keep Jenny alive, I do believe she will be brought back at some point in the future. I was in the for-me unique position to watch that episode with friends, and as soon as she flew off at the end we all agreed there should* be a spin-off series. As there should* be a spin-off with Jackson Lake fighting alien threats in Victorian London. That would satisfy everyone disappointed by the Next Doctor turning out not to be the next Doctor.

They mention Peter Cushing as well, but non-canonical stories don’t count. You might as well count Rowan Atkinson, Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley from the satirical Comic Relief special Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death. It is referenced in the final Eighth Doctor Adventures novel, The Gallifrey Chronicles, after all. ¬_¬

* Note that the word ‘should’ in these instances is not used to mean ‘should’.

I think my Nerdometer has fallen off.
