Did your parents not get the maids to check if you already had it?

The Mr Potato Head was from my brother. Since my trip to Florida in 2004 I started buying Mr Potato Head's for whatever reason, such as the Star Wars and Spiderman ones. Having them is an easy route to entertaining your younger cousins who you don't really know all that well.

Not included in the photo is MarioKart Wii, and some clothes (including a Top Gear, Stig T-Shirt. Some say... if he could be bothered, he could crack the DaVinci code in just 49 seconds. :p)

I thought my favourite gift at the moment deserves a photograph of it's own.

My Hewo ^^

That is my alarm clock from the mid-80's next to it. It doesn't look great but I use it because I have never found a modern alarm clock that equals it in efficiency (although the new bells from the church down the road do the job every Sunday ¬_¬)

I would post pictures of all the money I got but I don't think anybody cares.

I don't think anybody cared to begin with. :tard:

By the look of some of your stockings you wouldn't believe there's an economic crisis going on.

Alcar 12-26-2008 07:35 PM

Are you sure you didn't steal it from the Dr Who exhibition?

Emily got me sax key oil and a Peavey amp for my Epiphone. I don't hate Christmas anymore, it has helped me gain much more than socks this year.

I got Emily perfume and a DVD she wanted. She hasn't watched it yet, and the old cow was pestering me for it all month.

OANST 12-27-2008 07:10 AM

I got some clothes, a dvd and scale that measures my body fat percentage from my step dad. I am strongly considering returning the scale as I don't feel the need for further disappointment in my life.

Your parents probably aren't into video games.

Too bad I repped you recently. That made me laugh.

Fuzzle Guy 12-27-2008 11:47 AM

Heheh.

The only person who ever got a video game for Christmas when I was younger in our house was my Mum, with Abe's Oddysee.

Well, I guess they kind of are into video games, then.

I just don't place the stigma on video games that a lot of parents do, I guess. I limit the amount of time that she can play but other than that I have no problem with it.

Laser 12-27-2008 11:54 AM

I got:

Left 4 Dead

Mirror's Edge

New Hoodie

New Gloves

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans

Big box of Biscuits

The Dark Knight and Hancock

Strange thing was...No books :(

Fuzzle Guy 12-27-2008 12:13 PM

Your parents probably aren't into reading.

Hazel-Rah 12-28-2008 03:08 PM

I don't like to ask my parents for much during Christmas especially this year, but luckily I don't need to I have a big family.

I got...

$100 gift card
Lots of clothes
Panzer Dragoon Orta - Xbox
Sonic Unleashed - PS3
Shenmue II - Dreamcast
Pikmin 2 - Gamecube
25th anniversary Optimus Prime
Dark Knight movie masters Joker
Some DVDs and some books

Leto 12-28-2008 05:55 PM

Shenmue II ftw, but you should've got the Xbox version. just playa hatin on your dreamcast.

OddjobAbe 12-29-2008 02:10 AM

Despite the smoother graphics, and higher number of characters able to appear on screen at once, I enjoyed the Dreamcast version more (but probably just because of the sake of organisation - if I'm buying a series of games, I like to have them on the same system so they're on the same shelf).

I apologise, you weren't talking to me.

Bullet Magnet 12-31-2008 08:04 AM

Last year was a Carl Sagan Christmas. This year seems more focused on Cosmology.

Imagining the Tenth Dimension by Rob Bryanton
The Never-Ending Days of Being Dead: Dispatches from the Front Line of Science by Marcus Chown
The Magic Furnace: The Search for the Origin of Atoms by Marcus Chown.
100 Essential Things You Didn't Know You Didn't Know by John D. Barrow.

I'm going to be insufferable this year.

I also got the QI Annual
Mock the Week: Scenes we'd like to see
Some Orange County Chopper shirts.
A T-shirt that says "Carl Sagan is my Homeboy" with his face on it.
A tin of Roses chocolates.
New walking boots.
New trainers (mine were held together by friction alone).
A USB roll-up drum-kit thing.
Some other clothes which will be useful for wearing.
And best of all: a new hat!
