He could generate a manuel and a piolet to teach him how to fly.

Or he could fly for me. But I hadn't thought of that anyway.

Salamander 05-03-2008 08:13 PM

Matter Generation. I'd take that over anything just because of all the good I could do with it.

Bullet Magnet 05-03-2008 08:22 PM

Anvils appearing six feet over someone's head, and the like?

Salamander 05-04-2008 12:54 AM

Evidently our trains of thought are worlds apart.

Zerox 05-05-2008 10:36 AM

Matter generation? I'd had the thought of being able to duplicate objects I had contact with for a while. Is this something similar?

Can't be bothered to buy an Xbox? Clone someone else's. Almost outta machine gun ammo? Clone some more :P

Maybe object duplication and modding could be useful...mod someone's cloned drivers license ¬.¬

Bullet Magnet 05-05-2008 12:49 PM

And we think we have problems with garbage management now. Matter generation is not ecologically friendly, regardless of what you are generating.

Wings of Fire 05-05-2008 01:00 PM

Absolute control of external and internal energy management, including the maintenance of the balance between them.

Feeling tired? Need more Energy? Just reach out your hand and take some out of the air. Energy cannot be made or destroyed only transfered so it's not like the air's going to miss it. Need a smoke? Channel energy from within yourself to light one up!

This superpower would also be completely environmentally friendly as the mere channeling of a recourse wouldn't affect any sort of energy or trophic related balance and could also be used as an umbrella power for many of the others inc: super strength, super speed, flight, telekinesis. They all boil down to the use and abuse of energy in the end.

Zerox 05-05-2008 01:21 PM

Lol @ BM.

Being that air is gaseous, I think the body would have to output more energy than it would gain energy from air particles...being that energy in particles is heat and particle movement, I'm not sure how that could be converted into energy in the body's cells.

Bullet Magnet 05-05-2008 02:52 PM

Using the energy in the air to power your propulsion and anti-gravity during flight, leaving a trail of liquid Nitrogen in your wake...

Wings of Fire 05-05-2008 02:57 PM

Which would instantly evaporate releasing tonnes of energy, thus the cycle continues.

Bullet Magnet 05-05-2008 03:10 PM

Evaporation requires energy. It would cool the surrounding air as the thermal energy of the air moves down the energy gradient to the cooler substance and warms it. As is usually the case, things become cold when in contact with cold things. That's thermodynamics for you.

Come on, WOF, think straight.

Wings of Fire 05-05-2008 04:00 PM

D= Months of sleep deprivation and years of physics deprivation are finally taking their toll.

I call comic book physics on this! Besides, even if it was environmentally reproachable it would still be bloody cool

Bullet Magnet 05-05-2008 04:38 PM

You could freeze people by absorbing their energy, and then channelling it into you escape plan. A bit like Darth Vader absorbing laser bolts and using their energy to fuel the telekinetic disarming of Solo.

The atoms would have to come from somewhere. The matter generators would strip down garbage and reform it into desirable products. Like a lifesize, blowup, Marcus doll.

Not for me, of course. But I'm sure I could find someone who would very much like that as a gift.

Bullet Magnet 05-05-2008 04:51 PM

I could use one of those...

But still. Jesus Christ. I thought I'd seen the weirdest the forum has to offer.

Zerox 05-06-2008 08:19 AM

Hardly, BM.

Salamander 05-07-2008 09:12 PM

On second thought, one would require matter generation and matter anihilation for things to even out in the long run.

Perhaps WOF should have implied that his ability would include the ability to cause Nuclear Fusion without massive amounts of heat and pressure, though I'm not actually sure on the intensity/safety of causing Nuclear Fission.

skillyaslig 05-07-2008 09:23 PM

ooo, yeah, and I would have one that let me roast peanuts to the finest degree. Like a werid 'roast peanut' vision or something.

OANST 05-08-2008 04:10 PM

X-ray vision, so I could look through all the cute boys' clothes. Did I say boys? Heh, I meant girls. I mean, of course I did. Why would I want to see through.... a boys'..... umm... What was I saying? Damn it.

Bullet Magnet 05-08-2008 04:47 PM

"Oh my God! Everyone's a skeleton naked!"

skillyaslig 05-08-2008 08:28 PM

Lawl, the skeletal people are invading! *noes*

Salamander 05-08-2008 08:32 PM

That's starting to become annoying, BM. You know what he means.

Silver Cyborg 05-09-2008 06:23 AM

I would have the ability to morph into any animal. (Wait, is that considerd a 'super power'?)

See, that way I could fly or swim or sneek into places, and do just about anything really. Hehe.

I think his post was as much a joke as mine was but thanks for sticking up for me. Such a sweet boy/girl/whatever you are.

Disgruntled Intern 05-11-2008 08:21 AM

I would like to change;lsdmfklajflwepo;qlr.

Please.

He/She/It's a salamander. That's one step closer to not solving the mystery.

Again, gravity control. Or plant control. Making a fucking rose tear someone's dick off every morning would be my equivalent to a cup of orgasm. Or a gallon. Depends on my mood.

Havoc 05-11-2008 10:13 AM

Transformation sounds good to me :D.
