Oh, Won't you let me be your SLEDGE-HAMMER! It will be my test!

Something that destroys my confidence is having my intelligence insulted. This happened a lot during my school years - people would call me 'retarded arsehole', 'fucking idiot', et cetera, most probably because I had more brains than those 'fucking idiots'. I don't see them becoming doctors or building paramite bots that I still haven't managed to get a picture of yet. Perhaps 'fucking idiot' or 'retarded arsehole' doesn't seem too offensive now, but it really got to me as a young eleven year old kid.

I'm low on confidence and am shy, I mean, I'm no way a looser, but I'm one of guys that is payed to make others feel better, but it's mostly jokes and I ignore it, however, I'm shit at sports and stuff like that, so I am left out sometimes.
That, and being payed out and excluded, and backstabbed, and laughed at, and rejected, diminishes my confidence, but I just pick my self up, find out what I did wrong, and continue on my day.
Anyways, I have freinds to be with, and people who'd like me to be with them anyway, and I can usually find something to do (I'm that busy), and can make sure I'm included (By being freinds with the right people or brining the ball for a game or something).
However, my confidence is realy low in asking chicks out, I still want to ask one out, but it's kind of late now, since she has a bf, and a massive slut.
So basic tips for those feeling bad, talk to to a freind, express your self through song or a poem or book or boxing or something, keep trying, and don't be afraid to be rejected, becuase the more you try, the more likely you'll be accepted, make it clear to the person paying you out that you don't like it, becuase 9/10 they're joking, trust me, I joke with people all of the time, and they get offended, if you hate them, ignore them, stay away from them, if they hate you, do the same, and eventually they'll get over it, unless it's genially your fault, then speak to them when you can, and if not, they're not worth having a place in your life. ;)
Remeber, in every topic, you can find at least one, or maybe even three things you're really good at, well, apparrently anyway.

Another thing is that I have a weird Keratin imbalance, and my fingernails are unusually hard and strong. They draw attention, makes me nervous. :p

I lose my confidence when someone I look up to does something drastic, something that he or she would never do. It's sickening, it has actually happened to me a couple of times.

I have that too... people stare.

I don't get it. Surely people can't see how strong your fingernails are? Just keep them cut to a normal length and no-one will notice.

Interesting confidence cutters... :)

Mine are simple:
When someone dislikes my art (bound to happen, but driving none the less.)
when someone bashes my intelligence (i aIn't sto0pib)
and simply when I mess up.

Confidence... Fragile by any other name.

I lose my confidence when I say something stupid in real life. Something totally not funny, and I do it a lot, which in turn makes me a shy person.

Luckily a lot of people forgive me in school or community-wise. Which is a real confidence-booster.

Oh and remembering all the stupid crap I did when I was in 4th grade (Rather not explain) just makes me downright depressed, but I usually don't show it cause I hate being the serious type XD.

That would be the problem... Nothing short of a hedge-clipper can dent them.

Well, not really, but they're bloody hard, and it takes a few hours for me to cut all the way through them all.
And they grow back way too quickly.

oh yeah, and dropping stuff, that gets me down...And when people laugh after :p
