Shows how truly idotic Harry Potter fans are.
|
Edit:
About 40 minutes to go before the book is released here in America. Havoc, you gave me an idea: Seeing Moxco. talk crap: 20 going-on-my-nerves Seeing Daxter King talk s**t: 800 going-on-my-nerves Seeing Havoc's tiger avatar that looks like it wants sex: 15,000 going-on-my-nerves Seeing Ghost's common sense: 5 going-on-my-nerves Seeing the general "idiocity" and excitement: Priceless........ |
I now possess DH. But who cares about a right wing jerkasses possessions anyway.

Has anyone seen CRACKED's analysis on the top 6 questions potter fans are aksing about? very humourous.... |

Nope, I meant the non-existing word "idiocity" to describe a non-existing forum, itself. We're all imaginary figures-mindless drones.
Well, the books is now here. And now mother tells me that if she had the money and knew it was at midnight this morning she would have took me to Wal-Mart or some bookstore(she thought it was tonight). (growls angrily) |
My Brother, My Brother's Girlfriend and Myself went out at 11:30pm last night as the book was selling at Midnight. We did that in order to get the book. It was at Asda for £5. And we managed to get a copy. I'm still reading it. It's pretty good so far.
|
Had a quick look at some of the spoiler discussions at HP fansites. Lots of crying and sadness over spilt milk (deaths).
It's really quite funny. |
Bought the book last night and I am enjoying reading it....although waiting until midnight and then reading a bit last night has got me more than a little tired...;)
|
I'm waiting for my dad to finish reading it because he wouldn't let me read it first.
I already know who dies and a few do make me sad but the rest of the people I don't really care about |

I nearly choked when I started to laugh you bastard. I find that picture dangerous for oddworld forums society eating ice cream while looking at it!

Even though the last chapter (epilogue) was a bit too happy, this book was most excellent. I suppose the extreme cheeriness of the end counters naturally the extremely dark places this book and the last two have explored. I was surprised about the death toll that racked up by the end, many of those deaths really shocking and tragic. Overall, is one of my favorite books in the series and ties if not surpasses Half Blood Prince in my opinion, even though the book broke many traditions when it came to setting and some of the really light hearted moments in past books. I have not decided whether it will beat Goblet of Fire though, but as I said highly satisfying conclusion to a truly "Magical" series.
|
I finished it at 3:30 last night. I recommend to anyone who hasn't read it yet (and why the hell would you be in this thread if you hadn't?) not to read past page 450 without plenty of time on your hands. The first 2/3 of the book were rather slow but the climax was the best out of the series.
She's done a good job of confirming some of the fan theories yet at the same time doing them differently enough to still be satisfying. I'm happy with the way it ended. |
I finished the book three days after getting it, and overall I thought it was a really good book. Yeah, the setting for most of the book was different, but altogether a good end to the series.
|
I cheated and read it up on wikipedia. >.>
|
Borrowed my dad's friend's copy, read it in about a day.
Power reading FTW. |
Finished it (with my family) and I can honestly say I am not disappointed, She really did a good job tying things up.
Neville beheading Nagini FTW. |
Yeah, I like how she brought back all the characters we know and love for one last hurrah.
Neville's Grandma FTW! |

Just finished reading it this morning (har, I'm slooow...). I must say, it's an absolutely gorgeous story, anyone who hasn't already read it needs to do so asap. Harry pretending to be dead near the end was pretty 'o_o' for me, but that was cool.
...Yeah. I liked it muchly. |
:
It actually took me a few seconds to register who he was when I read it. |

I think this topic is warranted for a big *SPOILERS* in the topic title, Nate. I've seen at least 10 already.
|
Fair point Havoc, I'll edit it.
I'm reading the book, rather slowly as going out and getting wasted is interfering with my nightime reading, but I already know what happens. :p |
I heard The Weasly twins died in it
|
:
Haha. You make me laugh, Hulaabeo. |

I figured that would be self-evident. |
