Hi Bixer,i may have bad news for you.i managed quite easily to get to where you are stuck,and the nearest i came to getting past the slig without getting shot was by trying to crouch and roll as soon as i got through the door,however it seems that the game engine is just too slow to allow you to react fast enough.having gone through all the cheat systems i have there appears to be no cheats available for invincibility on AO,only AE.The level select cheat is only accessable from the start menu(the one with abe in the middle),and the advance to next path cheat from AE will not work on AO.there is one possibility though,i have a code that speeds up the in game action,and this may help,but you need a disc or cartridge cheat system to use it .in the meantime i will keep trying to find a way past the slig (i must admit i have never died so much in the game before)
ahh thanks a lot for trying to help me out, it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one stumped. But then It's also quite annoying to hear that there may be no solution.

I REALLY hope you're able to find a way past it without a cheat disc or cartridge (I don't have one, nor do I intend on buying one really just for one game)

Perhaps someone with a full set of save files could provide one for Bixer with Abe just after that point. Or just before but without the Slig in the way.

If Bixer is willing to pm his address to me,i may be able to send him a PS1memory card with the necessary save points and the full amount of saved mudokens on it,but will need a couple of days to create it.i spent several hours last night trying to pass the slig without any success,which is pretty frustrating.the only other choice i am afraid is you will have to start the game all over again,but do not save over your last one,ALWAYS make at least two save points on your memory card, that way if you do mess up you have a chance to retry that level

Isn't there a boom machine in the other area? Can't you VERY QUICKLY drop a grenade then go back through the door? And hope it still hits?

It doesn't hit. You should really read the topic. Anyone who's managed to duplicate the scenario fails.

Hi bixer this is just to keep you informed.I have been playing AO,but progress has been slow( i don't remember the game being this hard,i must be getting old).the fact that my main system packed up and have been devoting a lot of time to getting that running has not helped but that's all sorted now.Any way at this point in time i have just left rupture farms and am about to enter either scrabania or paramania.

let me give you a hint. ya know the first slig that you can chant? Weeeeeeeeeeeell...it's gonna be easier at end but long at first. Once you pull the lever, kill all the slogs from the hut. Once all are cleared, do not go pull the other lever yet. Unless your an expert killer (like me ;]). When you get near, shoot 'till the Slig dies. Then go away and watch as the slogs get electrified. If you already pull the lever, you gonna need to keep shooting. If you haven't, pulled the lever. If you don't want to get eaten easily, clear EVERY SINGLE SLOG. This is what I do. ^_^

yes Bixer,i am getting there slowly.i am presently passing through the levels in scrabania,but unfortunately keep dying in one of the secret areas,where you run backwards and forwards trying to avoid a scrab whilst saving three muds,but i will get through it

Well u cud do that but y dont u just use the paf skip cheat hold R1 and press O(x2)X(x2)scwer(X2)and u shud b at the next arer simpul!.

you should check first on your own AO,because then you will find there is no cheat or button pressing method to advance to the next level or path on the game,apart from the level select cheat that you activate on the main menu page,and please use queen's english and the correct spelling if you wish to post on this forum. the use of text messaging language is forbidden on here.finally ,if you read the previous posts on here you will see the answers already suggested,and this is why i offered to create a memory card with gamesaves on it up to the point Bixer got stuck

if you read bixer's post correctly,you will see that he kept saving over the top of his previous saves.this means if he tries to load his last save he will be in exactly the same predicament,so your comment is of no use to him whatsoever. Bixer, my ps1 has had to go in to be repaired,as the motor controlling the laser has packed up,but i will carry on playing the game when i get it back

Hi Bixer i have my PS1 back and have begun playing again,but progress is slow.I have a larger workload than normal,and now my main set-up is on the blink(i think i have picked up a virus that i cannot seem to get rid off) where programmes keep shutting down and now i can no longer access the internet with it. (this is being typed on my laptop) anyway i will keep trying to finish AO.

If so, did you kill the Slogs? you should kill them by throwing the bomb you have
and then go to the previous screen to posses the Slig (I think you can posses him in any screen..)
I have the PC version, I tried to do what you said, but the Slig shoots Abe quickly, he doesn't say 'freeze'
I don't know is the PS version is different

In short, try possessing the Slig :)

wat u do is u blow up the slogs and cantrol slig and u move the slig to left sreen and shoot the slogs i the canal pull the liver and thats it
