I was playing on MO the other day, I got to the end on Meep herder village then as I was at the bottom of the tunnel, after you kill all the slogs, I stepped on the switch to open the door, I pressed the switch button to go to Much, who was still up in the village, then when the camera zoomed in to the Glukkon, it went through enviromentless screens which was all blue, then it went to the Glukkon as usual.

Shadowman, you can then right-click on AbeWin and copy it, then move the shortcut to the desktop. I would try it, you're unlikely to muck anything up.

...Much, who was still up in the village...

Shows how useful Munch is, huh? I do love doing the level fly-through trick, though. I first discovered it in Magog Motors. If only the levels were prettier, it might be worth doing it all the more.

The Shadowman 12-21-2004 12:19 PM

Yeah looks like it would work looking at things. You know I tried that before and it didn't work but when I tried it again when you suggested it to me it worked. The work of Odd for sure

Necrum Miner 12-23-2004 07:21 AM

Once in AE, in part of the Mudanchee Vault ender, just after a Slog had woken up, I could walk straight past him. I didn't have any invincibility cheats on or anything.

Oddly Insane 12-27-2004 02:50 PM

I never had a glitch in any Oddworld games..........this sucks :crying:

RoUrSh 01-03-2005 06:23 PM

on Abes oddysee... i managed 2 quickly chant next to a bird portal 4 the normal muddokens and run in to it... but then it crashed so it was kinda pointless :|

fatmanintweed 01-05-2005 12:59 PM

Nothing special, but today in MO, at the end of the Loading Dock Level, after you've saved all the egg crates using the crane and moved Abe over to where Munch is, if you get Abe to pick Munch up and then step on the exit thing, Munch vibrates weirdly making bouncing noises whilst still being held by Abe when they enter that small room.

Also, me and a friend found the other day, in the Meep Herder Village, if you grab a meep and drop it in the well that's to your left at the start of the level, right by the cliff edge, and jump in right after it, Abe will land *in* the meep.

Flying Scrab 01-05-2005 05:46 PM

I have a few for MO (hmm...riddled with glitches this game)

1. This has happened many times. I would hit a vending machine button and I would get a completely different power.

2. I was messing around with the crane and picking sligs up and throwing them into the grinders. One time threw all the sligs in but one and when I tried to throw the last one in, he tried to run away as usual, but he didnt hit the grinders! He was running in place endlessley! it was so great.

3. This is a wierd one. I tried to possess a slig, and I did...sort of. I could move but when I tried to talk, another slig would say it. It was so weird.

Gretin 01-05-2005 06:31 PM

Here's one from Munch's Oddysee (Yes, I know there's lots, but this is a more uncommon one *I think*): In the Mudokon Fortress level I had Abe standing with several other mudokons at the bottom of the hill with the fortress on it and there was a slig that kept on running up to beat them up then getting zapped by the native zapper thing. Okay, so here's the glitch: I possessed this slig just as he was getting zapped and instead of going back to his place he started beating up the mudokons and he was not under my control at all! The only thing I could do was explode him (which I did, of course). :)

Nate 01-05-2005 08:01 PM

Strange, I've never seen any of the MO ones. Is it really such a buggy game?

Gretin 01-06-2005 01:10 AM

I haven't seen that many of them, but I've heard that it has lots of bugs. I think the most common (and annoying) one is the "enemy stuck in wall" one.

I'm that friend!
And what's more, we took some (dodgy) pictures of the meep glitch and threw them in a subdirectory of our website.

The best:
Enjoy! Please!

yuk yuk yuk...funny
I need to try those

Niteowl 01-07-2005 10:37 PM

Elum disappeared on me in paramonia- after getting Abe and elum both killed, Abe came back but the elum did not- when Abe would chant, I could hear elum howling, but couldn't find him.
Another one was when I took Abe and Elum backwards in scrabania- returned to a point where a floating bomb was waiting in the gap at the right- it came out of the gap and started to the right as soon as Abe and elum came onto the frame. I quickly turned back and elum was blown up but Abe made it into the next frame and was stuck rocking in midair as if still riding- quite funny to see.

The Marching Mudokon 01-08-2005 04:31 PM

A few of the glitches you guys have mentioned has happened to me. In AE (in the sligs barracks) I possesed a slig and shot another. Instead of falling to the ground and disintergrate he went all black and shrank in the same position he was when I shot him. He just kept getting smaller until he was gone. Weird.

I've had something similar to that happen in AE, it was around the first part of the brewery, I had possessed a slig and I got him on a platform without him having to use it (by using the switch and good timing), then I walked him off it just before it reached the top and instead of going splat on the ground he did what you said: just stood there on the ground and shrank! I've even got an animation of it, but I think it's too big to attach.

Abeguy 01-09-2005 07:56 AM

Niteowl, it happen to me to

Oddish 01-09-2005 10:34 AM

One trick I like to use on A0: On scrabania, there is a well with a floating bomb hovering around. Now you have to be quick right, and you probaly think that there's no way destrying that bomb. So I quickly stand infront of the well, and as the bomb comes torwards me, I quickly jump in.The bomb touches, explodes, but as am in the well, and I don't get killed. The you come back and the'res no bomb.

A good trick to use. I do it all the time.

Nate 01-09-2005 12:52 PM

Thats the only way to finish the level. Its not a glitch.

The thing with the slig happens quite often. I never thought of it as a glitch, though I suppose it is.

That's what they call in New Zealand "A farmer doing a ewe-turn..."

Rich 01-09-2005 12:57 PM

Abe looks like a bank robber in that pic.

I think that I've encountered all the AE glitches that people have mentioned.

Wil 01-12-2005 10:24 AM

:

It's a glitch: of course Abe is meant to blow up when he touches the bomb. The intended way to complete the level is to avoid the bomb as it moves about, and once you figure out the pattern of its movement, it's not that hard.

Gretin 01-12-2005 10:46 AM

Is that the bit where you have to whistle to the mudokon in the background to make the well work? I thought that you had to dodge the bomb and, like Max the Mug said, it's not that hard once you figure out the pattern of movement. I think that's why the Mudokon has such a short "tune" you have to copy.

Nate 01-13-2005 02:56 PM

Well I've never been able to do it any other way. But that's just the way the wells work. If you jump into one as a bomb approaches or a slig shoots at you, it won't kill you. I'm not sure why the bomb would explode though...

Oddish 01-14-2005 08:31 AM

Believe me it would, I might play again just in case.

Gretin 01-14-2005 10:55 AM

I'm pretty sure that bomb & well glitch works anywhere, but I don't think you're supposed to use it there. In fact, I think I remember somewhere in Abe's Oddysee or Abe's Exoddus that you jumped in a well and it blasted you through a bomb or two... so maybe it was intentional to make it like that but you're not supposed to do it in that other area?

Stranger's Wrath 01-14-2005 05:58 PM

One time I was playing Munch's Oddysee, I fell through the ground as Abe. I was wondering why that happened.

Mabey sinking sand :p

Yeah, if you to go places you not supposed to go,sometimes you fall and die.

Nate 01-16-2005 01:11 PM

Where were you?

Oddworld Bugs

SW:
Elbowz: On the beginning of the bounty, where you first see the outlaws, fishing with explosives or something like that. I first bountied them all. When I've cleared the beach, there was no one left.
I was about to continue when I saw an 'outlaw' flat like in an old dos-game.
The only thing I had near was a cheap-assed webcam and I maneged to take some 'pictures'...
I've put some almost-empty batteries inside, so the pictures are totally screwed up:(
Still, you can see the bug...

He was standing still on a pile of explosives. He was flat, looked stupid and was on both sides the same...

http://www.oddworldforums.net/images.../icon8_odd.gifhttp://www.oddworldforums.net/images.../icon6_odd.gifI tried shooting him with uncharged boombats...
First hit wood scatered from him
I kept shooting untill he fully exploded into a big pile of wood under waterhttp://www.oddworldforums.net/images.../icon2_odd.gif

If I manage to take better pictures I will post them

stingbee 04-12-2005 08:13 AM

it's because he is made of wood its a trick I fell for it
