Actually, maybe part of the problem is the common public looking at these gay pride parades and thinking all gays are like that. Maybe the public should look at others and realise not all gays are like that.

I don't see what the general consensus is about gays anyway, particularly catholics and all. It's natural. You get homosexual dolphins and bonoboes, so I don't see how anyone can object to it in humans because it's unnatural or something, and considering how people want more natural food and all anyway...far more natural than goths or emos, which often are a result of our corrupt society and so forth, but no one complains about them constantly.

I personally have a gay friend, we hang out and crack jokes and he seems just like every other guy. Every once in awhile I even forget that he is gay until he points out a guy telling me how nice it would be if said guy wasn't strait.

Siiiiggghhhsss.... I must say, I'm kinda split on the issue. On the one hand, I really don't care all the flamboyance and exhibitionism of the whole gay pride deal, or any organization for that matter. I think it's grotesque. Not because they're gay, mind you, but because I'm just not a fan of extravagance.

On the other hand, what they're trying to rebel against is the repression of their sexuality, which they must do by displaying it in the extreme. I mean, obviously they aren't blowing each other on floats or anything, but yeah. They're essentially giving a massive "Fuck You" to all the people that don't accept homosexuality. And I totally respect that. Power to you.

I once came clean with my sexuality around here because I knew the majority of people wouldn't mind and even those who did would not have a major grudge against me for it. I turned out to be right because no-one on this board wants to kill me for it. Apart from that I never refer to my sexuality in a manner to gain attention, when I refer to it by my own initiative I do so to make a point in a debate, mostly religion or moral based like this one. If I don't do so from my own initiative then I'm responding to someone else who made a reference and I'm free to respond to something that is about me, especially if it's insulting. I know I'm a bastard, a cold hearted religion hater and most people both hate and love at the same time because while I might be a bastard, I'm a bloody good one who isn't afraid to give an opinion which might be politically incorrect and if there's anything I have learned it's that people respect me for that, despite them hating me or not.
I might be all of the above but I am, not in the very least, a hypocrite. And anyone calling me one should look the word up before throwing it around and pissing people off. I don't get angry quick, as most of you can no doubt confirm, but do NOT call me a hypocrite because that will seriously tick me off.
