OANST 11-07-2006 03:09 PM

Don't be obtuse, jackass. You know what I meant.

Bullet Magnet 11-07-2006 03:10 PM

I know, I was just being difficult.

Al the Vykker 11-07-2006 03:45 PM

This is definately a difficult decision. I can understand where people want immediate satisfaction of having Sadaam killed and a sense of justice an eye for an eye or in this case eyes. However, I personally think he should have to spend the rest of his life in prison. Sure he probably won't be tortured by what he's done, but killing him off seems to be the easy way out.

OANST 11-07-2006 03:55 PM

Well, I wouldn't worry about it too much cause you don't get a vote.

Statikk HDM 11-08-2006 03:39 AM

Retributivism. Learn it, love it, live it.
Oh, I got a vote.

Lawl, what did you all think of his speech that all the Iraqi should re-unite?

Statikk HDM 11-08-2006 10:39 AM

They couldn't do it in two millenia but now they're supposed to do it in two terms? He just made a bad situation even worse. Smug bastard. He just recently made some very petulant statements condemning Democrats as people who don't care about troop funding or safety
"I thought the American people would understand the importance of taxes, and the importance of security. But the people have spoke." Grammatically and factually incorrect. When he verbals screws the pooch he goes all through the night and splits a pack with Barney afterwards.
/Havoc, put your hands back on the keyboard!

Ninjaxe 11-08-2006 11:05 AM

I like to add...My american friend says it takes a long time for someone to be electric chair. He is saying approximately 10 years. So hes saying that it not going to happen. He did kill alot of people (IRAQIS) and they hate him cause he gased them. he he he

I like saddam twisted ways. It was bad but he control the country. The british and american armies are not keeping order. Think of all the men and women they have killed. (Good officers I mean) I think it is a waste. Put saddam back in order and he will sort things out.

OANST 11-08-2006 12:13 PM

You're an idiot and your opinions will not be needed from this point on.

Statikk HDM 11-08-2006 01:55 PM

This case is totally different, Ninjaxe. In a normal criminal trial for 1st degree murder the trial may go very quick or it may last years. The trial and sentence would never take 12 years though, most of the time is in stay of executions, competency/representation filings, habeus corpus appeals and appeals for retrial. With Saddam Hussein establishing guilt is easy. America knew what Hussein did. Officials plotted how to put him in power and keep him in power because it was seen as politically useful. Now that he is no longer useful to the people in power and it is better for them to kill him guess what happens? He gets killed.
"Its not personal, Hussein. Strictly business."

Officials plotted how to put him in power...

You mean Britain and America, right?

ziggy 11-08-2006 02:40 PM

I think it's a good thing. Why show him any mercy for what he did? Saddam deserves this.

Statikk HDM 11-08-2006 03:43 PM

Damn skippy.
"How do we know Saddam's got chemical weapons? We got the muthafukkin' receipts!"
Shaking hands with him, the whole 9. Military muckity mucks and diplomats gave him a birthday cake. I don't know about you but I will not celebrate just anybody's birth with the gift of an expensive baked good. I ain't even gonna chip in. We need to go way back before I buy somebody a pastry much less a birthday cake.

For me it comes down to the moral highground. How are we better than him if we exact his own upon him?

"Death for death" and all that doesn't click with me. It's such a knee-jerk and childish reaction that we should be above by now.

Exactly!

That's all I have to say.

Facsimile 11-08-2006 06:35 PM

Oh man, when he dies he's going to go to hell, and we've all seen what'll happen then on the South Park movie.

I wonder how his followers and such will react.

ziggy 11-08-2006 06:52 PM

....send him to live in heaven with the mormons as punishment

magic9mushroom 11-08-2006 08:09 PM

Doing that is a bit hypocritical, considering they put him there. OANST, everyone has a right to express their opinions and would even if they weren't, so you can do the shutting up on that issue. Iraq is such a volatile place that no democratic government will ever work there, especially one set up to be favourable to the occupying power. The Americans don't want the Shi'ites in control, because Iran is Shi'ite, but they make up 60% of the population, so they set up a government and rig it to suit them. When they pull out, the Shi'ites will revolt, make the Sunnis refugees, exterminate the Kurds, and be friendly with Iran. Saddam's regime is actually better for the americans than what will happen. Saddam's government was just about the only possibility without substantially rearranged borders.

Aahhahah, I just realised I've been thinking about that for teh whole week, I was like, Heh, Saddam was in Southpark too! There's something with Saddam and Satan! What was it?

Funny... They got it right after all :P

Fuzzle Guy 11-09-2006 08:53 AM

PWN3D

I don't think the death penalty is enough. I think they should lock him up and be made to suffer.

Statikk HDM 11-09-2006 10:18 AM

You went to Yardsdale and achieved a 4.0 grade point average?
And I think the word you were looking for was "rant". "Rave" is giving a lot of praise to something.
"GWAR kicks ass! My brother got hit by fake jism at a concert, LOLLERCOASTER.

Hobo 11-11-2006 12:33 AM

GWAR are indeed immense. UK TOUR PLEASE.

And yes i have a 4.0 Grade Average... whatever that means

toxicity 11-16-2006 04:20 PM

I thought this thread was about GWAR.

Hobo 11-17-2006 11:45 AM

Who, as stated above are awesome!

For all who are unaware, this thread was titled after a pretty funky GWAR song.

Patrick Vykkers 11-17-2006 08:24 PM

No, send him to CAIR headquarters. Their incessant whining should be enough to make him commit suicide. Although I don't think even Saddam deserves that.
