/me realises the irony of that statement. /me relishes in it. |
I know that, but as I said, Hitler did share a dislike for a perceived upper class of Jewish bankers and bureaucrats, and did try to nationalise some businesses.
|
Which made him a fascist, not a socialist...
|
Yes, but most socialists are not exactly big fans of the upper class either, Jewish or not. The primary reason Hitler declared war with the USSR was because he made a mistake. He thought his military was big and tough enough to handle both the Allies and the USSR. And in war, demonization of the enemy is criticial.

Laser pistol will be sent, but by that time he'll be out of office. You can take out your hard feelings on him tho. Just don't ever give it to anyone. |
You know what really pisses me off about the whole thing? The Militry Commissions Act will get passed and every other person I try to talk about it off of liberal boards doesn't know jack shit about it.
Links to the current bill, 3rd down as followed. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:S.3930: Basically the President can detain and torture whoever he feels like. There's a bunch of mushmouthed stuff that should limit the powers of the Executive, but doesn't and can be spun away or just ignored. |
Man...this thing about torture is psycotic. (yes, that is one of my favorite words...) I mean, he could just go out and choose people he doesn't like and torture them for no apparent reason! That's just not right... Well... hopefully this bill gets terminated before it gets too far and out of hand.
