I don't think that would appeal to the general audience, but with the way movies have been why not but since I don't know anything about the story I can't determine its appeal, the people who like this stuff hang around my local hobby shop

What about Red Dwarf? I think that would go over pretty well, too. Basically anything Games Workshop has ever done could translate very well into a summertime popcore flick.
|
I think they're making a Red Dwarf film.

In Superman Returns they have him leave to visit Krypton and don't even show Krypton. Whats up with that? And Lex Luthor has been a mad scientist, a military dictator, and president of the United States but this time for the big movie he's a fruity and anal-retentive real estate developer? And don't even get me started on Super Kid. If that guy shows up in the next movie I'm going to go berserk.
|
1) Wasn't Krypton destroyed?
2) Real estate? 3) Superkid? I don't really read the comics or shtuffs. I used to be into it, though purely for ornamental reasons - and Dark Eldar have a sooper-cool history et al. But if there was to be a film, it'd probably have to have the main race as the Marines, with the Eldar making an appearance. Then maybe after the third, have a spin-off with the Eldar. |
Yeah, but Superman went away to Krypton, its where he is returning from. And there is a kid with powers in it(moves a grand piano) and he kills somebody. And yeah, Lex Luthor is played by Kevin Spacey and he's a real estate mogul.
|
Obviously it'd be about Ultra-marines. :p They're all that GW care about. :p

Is super-kid Superman's son?
*deletes rant about how biologically impossible that is in the light of everything else about Superman* |
Went to see the film this evening, it’s just been released in the UK – what? Yesterday? Recently, anyway – and I found it average. Bit boring, I hate Kate Bosworth, I was waiting for this thing to finish. One of the daftest films I’ve seen. I fell on the floor. And the solution to this potential major planetary catastrophe? That was crap, wasn’t it?
But there was some good! The plane sequence was nice, Spacey knows how to play fun one-note villains to a T, oh! And Parker Posey was absolutely the best thing in the film. I love that kind of dumb, campy woman. In films. Singer, Spacey and Routh are gay. I feel this needs to be said. MF’s Awesome Rating = 3/5 |
Isn't Spacey married?
But I had heard the rumour that Routh got the role by sleeping with Singer. I tend to believe that sort of thing is just a conspiracy theory. |
Well, the word on the street - and I am wearing a Mackintosh right now - is that Routh had a MySpace account (cos before Superman he was pretty much an unknown, like Hugh Jackman before Wolverine) which openly stated he was gay. Then he gets cast as Superman, the account is pulled and now he has a girlfriend. Hmm.
No, Spacey hasn't been married, but he DID take his mum to the Oscars. :) Even if he had, Elton John's been married before! DISCLAIMER: Not that it matters, of course. The whole gay thing. |
"is that Routh had a MySpace account (cos before Superman he was pretty much an unknown, like Hugh Jackman before Wolverine) which openly stated he was gay."
Yet another Actor who got to where he was 'cos of his sexuality. Political Correctness gone awry, i tell yee! On a lighterer note, i LOVE Parker Posey. Her name's lush and she was the best thing by FAR in the last Blade film. ...barring Ryan Reynolds' body. She has a great face. |
