Nice colour scale? Thanks Skillya! I just think I didn't shade much, it just made my images tacky, I think.

Spirrow 06-23-2006 05:23 PM

Alright, this is just a simple security orb picture I pulled up from
an larger image I was designing. I used paint to make it. It's
pretty tacky.

Jordan 06-24-2006 12:41 AM

Wow Spirrow! That is really good :D :D I like how you made it look like metal and made it look shiny!

E'l Scrabino 06-24-2006 12:57 AM

Ooooh, shiiii-nee... *chants randomly* *zzaaaap!*
"Ouch..."

Jordan 06-24-2006 04:08 AM

Scrabino I didn't know Scrabs could chant lol.

Spirrow 06-24-2006 05:31 AM

Yep, I haven't heard one the chants either.

Thanks for the compliment Jordan_Boi, perhaps I'll design
some new pics and post them. Maybe.

Jordan 06-24-2006 06:29 AM

I did some pics at home on paper, I so badly wanna show em off, but I have no scanner :(

Spirrow 06-24-2006 08:07 AM

Well, you can explain what they look like or try to draw a
replica of it on Paint. Or if you have a digital camera, take pictures
of them like other people sometimes do if they don't have a
scanner or any other means of posting their pics.

Jordan 06-24-2006 08:34 AM

I dont have a digi cam either, and I couldn't create a replica of them on paint, it would be too hard.

Spirrow 06-24-2006 08:46 AM

You'll never make success in the future if you say everything's
to hard, Jordan. I makes copies of my drawing on Paint all the time
by hand and imagination. And when I don't want to go far
into detail I just make a crude outline of the character and
fill it in black. Noone may be able to see it but at least they get the
general idea if you explain what it should look like.

Jordan 06-24-2006 08:58 AM

The reason I can't do it on paint is because my hand twitches when I draw with a mouse, thus make the image go wrong, besides, my aunty has a digi cam so I'll see if I can use hers.

Spirrow 06-24-2006 10:15 AM

Oh, I see. The problem with using paint when I do it is the fact
that my mouse ball does not always spin correctly causing
me to draw a straight line instead of whatever form I was trying to
create.

Jordan 06-24-2006 10:21 AM

I can draw better on Paint when it is zoomed in 8x for some reason.

Spirrow 06-24-2006 12:35 PM

Me too. It's because your zoomed in closer and can put more
concentration in your art and delete mistakes. Sometimes I design
or color images by putting individual dots on the screen.
It takes hours sometimes but perhaps I get a clearer Picture.

skillya_glowi 06-25-2006 12:08 PM

Libraries usually have public scanners.
I don't have a scanner either, I used my friend's, but if you want to see my pictures (I only have 3) they must be on the last page somewhere...

Spirrow 06-25-2006 06:30 PM

Yes, they do, but if I had the choice I'd rather by a printer, a scanner,
and a stack of printing paper. Imagine how much more you could get out
it. My family owned a printer for around ten years and because we
use it carefully, it works perfectly fine even now.

Bullet Magnet 06-26-2006 02:42 AM

Usually libraries and internet cafes have scanners. Just take a USB flash memory drive or email the file back home.

Lord Vulcher 06-26-2006 07:30 AM

These are great! How do you have such a steady hand?

Jordan 06-26-2006 09:25 AM

Well, I zoomed in on paint, it is much easier that way, and sometimes I used the shape tool, I gotta stop using that...

I'm awful on paint. Can't keep the darn thing strait. Ah well, I'll just look at your incredible talents.

Jordan 06-28-2006 12:13 PM

:D Thanks Lord! Thankyou all! I didn't know my art was liked... It almost makes me want to... CRY!

Well, you can't know if it will be liked until you let prople see
it. I like all of your images.

I'm really sorry for posting after this thread hasn't been replied to for ages, is it okay to break this rule for the Fan Corner?
Anyway, I read all the posts people put about doing bodies, and I thought I'd have a shot at doing them, I did Abe, a Scrab, a Fleech, and Molluck, hope you like 'em!

Arxryl 12-11-2006 01:33 PM

those are pretty darn good for only using paint! Good job!

Jordan 12-11-2006 02:04 PM

Thanks fly-trap man Arxrl! I was actually very proud of the Abe I did, it wasn't as hard as a thought...

Arxryl 12-11-2006 03:23 PM

but it looks very nice for how easy it was. and I guess you could call it a fly trap...

skillya_glowi 12-11-2006 04:37 PM

And this thread was brought up from half a year ago because...?

Jordan 12-11-2006 10:30 PM

Oh I don't know... I just didn't wanna make a new thread and annoy the mods, but this might annoy them even more, oh I'm in such a pickle!

oddlemm 12-12-2006 08:24 AM

Jordan_Boi: looks very nice, i like what you did with abe. : )
