I read that Abe's story wasn't supposed to be part of the Quintology.

If that's so, they got such a good headstart in the Abe games that
they decided to add him to MO. Because I read that MO was to
be the first game of the Oddworld Quintology.

Nope. Wrong, wrong and WRONG!

Abe is mentioned as the first hero of the quintology right from the start of AO. I quote from the game book:

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is the first in a five part game series from Oddworld Inhabitants called "The Oddworld Quintology."

The thing is, there have only been 2 games in the Quintology so far, AO and MO. Abe has only been in one as the main character. MO's main character was, of course, Munch. However, I think the next few games will probably centre around Abe as he still has some Mudokons to save.

Yet they say MO was originally supposed to be the first game of the Quintology.

AO was, and always was, the first game of the Quintology. All the Quintology games are going to have the term "Oddysee" in them (I think).

Let's just wait and see what other peoples opinion are before
we get all to confident we're correct.

But it certaintly looks lime all of them are going to be an Oddysee.

Oh yes, I'm sure the first adventure of a new series in the Quintology
would be call an "oddysee". But I think they created the Abe games
because MO wasn't going as fast as OWI expected. So, yeah, maybe
your right about Abe's story be part of the actual Quintology unlike
SW.

AO has always been planned to be the first game, I never saw something that was saying something else

AO and MO are the only ones that count as the quintology series, AE is an extra for AO and SW is just a game that is oddworld but has nothing to do with the quintology (stupid EA)

why do you say stupid EA? I totally agree EA is stupid.
But it was Lorne's decision to do SW when he still had a contract with Microsoft.

If more people bought strangers wrath oddworld Inhabitants would still be here (making games) and we'd probably all be looking forward to Oddworld Fangus.

I blame EA games more than anyone for the fall of Oddworld games.

EA killed Oddworld, that's how I see it...

Now everyone's going to think EA got the new run of the
future Oddworld games.

EA is quite good, but I don't think it mixes with Oddowrld.

Actually, the first idea for an Oddysee title was Squeek, but as Lorne's first and possibly favourite project he would have decided to wait untill the technology could fully realise it or he could make it into a film. Hence Abe and Munch's earlier adventures.

So maybe the film will be of Squeek...

We've discussed this before and the general conclusion is that, whilst Squeek was the first Hero that Lorne told Sherry about, Abe was always meant to be the first to have his story told.

I want to see concept on squeek really bad!!!

A lot of people want to know what he will look like in the game
or movies. But I think it's going to be another new species on
Oddworld just like munch was in MO, that is affected by the industrials
and will probably need Abe's help or something.

Of course Squeek won't be in the movie. Abe's Oddysee is about Abe.

You'll have to wait for Squeek's movie to see Squeek.
