They decided to focus on making their graphics really nice instead of concentrating on gameplay. I honestly think they missed the boat by not making their games for nintendo consoles. Why you ask? Because people who own nintendos like these kinds of games.

While that may be true, integrating a Hollywood experience into games is more important to Lorne than revolutionary gameplay.

Thankyou Abeguy! MO would have been pretty good for the GC, I think the GC has brilliant graphics, and so will the Wii!!

now, now, that's just plain denial. Nintendo says that the graphics on the Wii will be only slightly better then the Gamecube's Graphics. Which still isn't that bad. but for Graphic Whore gamers, that means they'll buy the Other two first. But even though a pretty game is very nice, I'm thrilled to see the Wii's gameplay. And true, Oddworld is more simplistic Gameplay, and I don't see what OW could do with the Wii-mote. Except if they make another 3rd/1st person game like Stranger.

And he failed in that respect as well.

Oddworld Aventures 1 & 2 were released on GameBoy and GameBoy Color, and Munch's Oddysee was released on GameBoy Advance.
They were fun fluff, but hardly actual Oddworld games.

Barely half as detailed as the console games, to me.

once again Mudoko_Jedi, we don't care, it has nothing to do in this topic. It doesn't contribute at all in this conversation.

Mudoko_Jedi 06-19-2006 12:23 AM

I was just saying that I havnt played the gameboy oddworld so I couldnt coment on it. I just added the AO AE thing to extend my post.

If you can't comment on something; don't. Just as I have not posted any comments on the gameboy games. Ever.

However, I can comment on other people's pointless posts. Clearly.:D

I want to put across importantly..why dig the past? What if? the future please.

The latest console are xbox360 and ps3 (coming out soon) The newest HD consoles. I think if oddworld was released on these. Graphic and gameplay would be incredible. I don't have a 360. I just seen gameplay traliers.

The Wii, hhmm if oddworld did came out in that. It bring a whole new experience to oddworld. The gamepad for the wii has a number of sensors. e.g. moving up and down, side to side etc. Imagine it using your whole body just to move and control Abe.

Spirrow 06-19-2006 12:18 PM

Clearly seen and acknowledged, Nate. Thank you.

MO would of looked the same on the gamecube as the xbox, they have minimal power differences. An Oddworld game for the Wii would be nice like OANST said gameplay over graphics, unless they look so bad it makes your eyes bleed.

Xavier 06-27-2006 05:36 AM

MO could look the same perhaps on the cube, but I'm not sure...

SW on the other hand takes all the power oof the Xbox, and it couls only be less good on gamecube.

I suppose Xavier is right with SW not being compatible on the cube. The gamecube r0x0rz IMO, but it would freeze up even on such simple games like Minority Report or Star Wars: Rogue Squadron leader.
